How it WorksThe SRS™ takes in raw wastewater after screening and grit removal. It produces Recyllose™ and wastewater half-loaded with solids, oils and organic content.

After screening and grit removal, raw wastewater is pumped into the SRS™. It passes through a primary cleaner to remove excess grit.

Recyllose™ is heated, pasteurized and processed to over 90% dry matter. The SRS™ produces its own heat, and requires no external energy source.

Dried Recyllose™, now in pulp form, is condensed into pellets suitable for long-term storage, transportation, and industrial application.

Dry Zone SRS Sewage ™Recycling System

Recyllose™The sewage mining outcome, Recyllose™, is a cellulose-based substance produced by the SRS™, and converted and packed into pellets on-site. It is a recoverable, valuable resource that is used in the plastics, insulation and construction industries; as an energy-efcient bio-fuel, pulp and paper additive, fodder or feedstock. Recyllose™ reduces the use of fossil fuels and timbered trees, reducing GHG emissions. The SRS™ transforms this biologically clean, pasteurized commodity into tailor-made forms and sizes suitable for different industrial uses, in accordance with customers' specications and needs at the WWTP site.

Our Business Models: Buy or Lease Your SRS™ You are invited to establish a relationship with Applied CleanTech by buying or leasing a SRS™. When purchased, the SRS™ is installed by Applied CleanTech and comes with a one-year full warranty. When leased, the SRS™ is installed, operated and maintained by Applied CleanTech for a periodic service fee. In both cases, Applied CleanTech owns the Recyllose™, which it collects and removes from your site, unless another arrangement is agreed upon. Applied CleanTech operates globally via local distributors. For more information, visit:www.appliedcleantech.com

SRS Sewage ™Recycling System

About Applied CleanTech Recognizing sewage as a resource from which useful commodities can be mined, Applied CleanTech has developed a groundbreaking sewage recycling technology that extracts suspended solids from raw wastewater and turns them into the revenue-generating, bio-based product, Recyllose™, instead of sludge. Since 2007, the company’s proprietary Sewage Recycling System (SRS™) has provided an integrated solution that reduces sludge formation at municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs), reduces wastewater treatment operating costs, and increases WWTP capacity. Plants using the SRS™ have reduced their greenhouse gas emissions (GHG), making them eligible for carbon credits. The SRS™ has been successfully installed around the world.
