Sermon Notes__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

We want to live lives of purpose, but often we don’t feel up to the task. We think that we’re too young or maybe too old. We doubt that what we can do will be enough. But God is more than enough to be all we need to make a difference in the world. We all have resources and talents we can share. Our lives can be simplified to find time for God, ourselves, and for others. Join us for this sermon series where we are reminded - because God is enough, we are enough.

Some days, we forget to look around us. Some days, we can't see the joy that surrounds us. So caught up in ourselves, we take when we should give. So for today we pray for what we know we can be. And on this day we hope for what we still can't see. It's up to us to be the change and even though we all can still do more, there's so much to be thankful for.Look beyond ourselves, there's so much sorrow. It's way too late to say, "I'll cry tomorrow." Each of us must find our truth; it's so long overdue. So for today, we pray for what we know can be. And every day we hope for what we still can't see. It's up to us to be the change and even though we all can still do more, there's so much to be thankful for.Even with our diff'rences, there is a place we're all connected. Each of us can find each other's light. So for today, we pray for what we know we can be. And on this day we hope for what we still can't see. It's up to us to be the change and even though this world needs so much more, there's still so much to be thankful for.

Joy for the journey of faith and commitment, joy in the service we render each day, joy in relationships with all Your children - Giver of joy, for these blessings we pray. Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see; all I have needed Thy hand hath provided; great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!God of the journey, we ask for Your presence guiding our work, as our gifts we employ for the fulfillment of Christ's great commission; singing Your praises, we go out in joy. Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see; all I have needed Thy hand hath provided; great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

Sharing God’s Love and Bringing Hope to the WorldThe mission of St. Luke’s is to share God’s love and bring hope to the world. We accomplish that by sharing the message of Christ, growing in our faith, and serving the community. Listed below are new and exciting ways for your entire family to be involved. For information about growing in your faith every week, stop by the Welcome Center today, call 232-1371, or visit stlukesokc.org.

You Make a DifferenceToday is Commitment Sunday. When you give to the church, you are supporting St. Luke’s programming, missions, administration, ministry staff, and facility. Throughout the month of October, we have asked each family to be in prayer about what you can commit to give to the General Operating Budget in 2020. That enables the church to budget for next year’s ministries and missions. Everyone will have the opportunity to bring their completed Commitment Card forward after the sermon. If you have made your pledge online, you are encouraged to fill out the Information Card found in the Welcome Folders or at the Welcome Centers and bring it forward. You may also make your comittment online at stlukesokc.org/stewardship. Commitment cards can also be mailed to the Business Office or returned to the Welcome Center.

Stewardship Prayer JournalPrayer is an important part of your commitment to St. Luke’s. At this time of year, we ask you to be in prayer about how you will you give of your time, talent, and financial support in 2020 to enable your family of faith to share God’s love and bring hope to the world. A Prayer Journal is available at the Welcome Center to help you to be in prayer about what financial commitment you can make to the church this next year.
