• The manager provides little or no direction and gives staff as much freedom as possible
• All authority or power given to the staff and they determine goals, make decisions, and resolve problems on their own

• Leaders must become personal:– Positional Leaders – direct / dictate– Successful Leaders – connect w/ followers
• To lead yourself, use your head; to lead others, use your heart.
• Leaders can’t move people to action until they first move them with emotion.
• Leaders should first give before they demand others to give.
