Le considerazioni sugli intenti della mia prima comunione restano lettera morta [2009 - ] Le considerazioni sugli intenti della mia prima comunione restano lettera morta is a cycle of site specific installations. Its main theme is the identity of the individual and the enigmas that define it. The site specific installations of this cycle have a progressive numerical order. The environments that I create are structures that are built as images that emerge from the psychological depth. Therefore it is possible that certain spaces are downsized in respect to reality, gravity is inverted or its meaning is lost, time looses coherence and two different moments co-exist in the same space. What is seen, is roughly like what you experience whilst dreaming or in memories where the unconscious mixes up, generating rebuses, enigmas which hide our identity. So the environments I choose are there to put my own enigmas into the space which take form by using the images of my memories.

Le considerazioni sugli intenti della mia prima comunione restano lettera morta is a cycle of site specific installations. The furniture are burnt until the limit of their structural strenght. The reflection of this work starts from the idea that what you gained in the past can’t be taken away from you. The truth it is that each time you try to take your past back, it reveals itself as a fragile shape. If you touch it it will become ash into your own hands.

title: Tetralogia della polvereyear: 2012technique: environmental installationdimensions: site specificbrief description: This work is an installation to render an important monument to its city and its community. Casa Bossi, a splendid Palazzo built by Alessandro Antonelli in 1859, was one of the most important places in Novara until early 1980. Then it was closed for 30 years. This installation of 5000 sq/meters opens again the building and attempts to hear the tale of all this years of solitude. The main part of the intervention consists in a drawing made with dust on the floors, following the lines of the light. The installation has 4 different parts, and it tries to use the building as an analogy of human identity, in which each stairway is a chapter of a life and each room is a possible memory.

title: Spazio #05 year: 2012technique: environmental installationdimensions: site specificbrief description: This work, more than others, is a reflection about time and light. It was made in an hospice, closed for 30 years. The room, inhabited only by the sunlight for three decades, is completely vetrified. On the floor there is a mosaic of broken glass. The only furniture have the coldness of metal. In a close cabinet there is the archive of all the people who spent their last years there.

From the bottom of the holes a  barbed wire is interweaved with the beds as if it is the trace of a dream, and from the beds it rebuilts the old row of the vineyard.

Through the ivy it was possible to see a room that is a sort of memory room. Inside there were hospital beds on the burnt walls, and grass on the floor. This work attempts to recreate the mechanics of memory in which different memories are combined in a sort of existential aenigma.

Sette Stagioni dello Spirito[2013 - 2015]

Seven Seasons of the Spirit is a research focused on understanding the limits of good and evil in the human being. To be made this work needed a city which could have a large enough spectrum and a structure. The city is Naples, the structure is the one which is described in Sancta Teresa of Avila’s book The inner castle, in which she splits the human soul into seven rooms.The project is a unique work which has as object and material the whole city of Naples. The work ha seven chapters, like a novel.

It reprisent the most peripherical rooms of the inner castle described by Sancta Teresa of Avila, those in which one lives almost outside of his own soul.The installation have been made in a church closed since WWII, in the middle of a complex neighborhood of Naples. The main subject is the plague as an analogy of inconsciousness, a desease of the spirit which has killed an entire generation, as, in the past, other metaphoric (like nazism according to Albert Camus) of physical pestilences (like those told by Tacitus, Boccaccio or Manzoni).

title: 2_Summeryear: 2014technique: environmental installationdimensions: site specificbrief description: Estate (Summer) is a reflection about the inertia as a status of the spirit. It is a work on the hell, according to Pasolini’s standpoint. The analogy used to speak about this theological concept is the history of the Republic of Italy, a country that little by little has lost its own identity and heritage leaving things going bed without doing anything. The space chosen for this work is the first registry office in Italy, currently abandoned. The belly of this building is full of all the documents of the citizens of Naples from 1809 to the present day. The installation is an epic of the decay. The falling of the building is the falling of the State itself, the decay of the walls, of the ceiling of that construction is the decay of a body in which every citizen is a living cell slowly dying.
