A total of 16 members participated in this wildlife tour to one of the most famous national parks of the country. We departed on 19th March via the Indore – Jabalpur Express with stories of Leo Club’s previous outstation tours by the senior members and countless rounds of Antakshari. All of this was punctuated by good hearted picking on each other, and of course munching on a lavish variety of snacks. When finally everyone called it night and retreated to their bunks for a good night’s sleep, some unscrupulous elements decided that the time was ripe for some face painting. A lot of us woke up with pink whiskers and tilaks on our faces the next day. A journey of about 4 hours landed us at the Tuli Tiger Resort near the Khatiya Entrance of the Kanha National Park. The resort bettered our already high expectations with rooms housed in quaint double storied cottages and a close-to-nature ambience. The icing on the cake however was the scrumptious, piping hot lunch that we were served just before we left for our first safari inside the core- area of the forest. • WOW1st of March, the most awaited day for all Indorians. WoW 2K15 was finally a few hours away. After all the hard work done, WoW 2K15 team was ready to give their best shot. With gushing winds and sprinkles of water every now and then for the past 24 hours, nobody had imagined the success of the event to be so grand that even the rain gods bowed their head down. The event commenced at 9AM with more than a hundred teams all decked up in their costumes with their beautifully decorated cars parked on the pavements of SS Infinitus with the enthusiastic team members ready to solve the nerve clenching clues!Once the registrations were done, everyone was served a sumptuous breakfast of Sandwiches and Poha. After this, Leo Jinesh Shah and Leo Mohit Nagori directed the teams and explained them the rules and regulations of the hunt. Another attraction for the participants were the nominations like, Best Team Name, Best Theme Depiction,

reetings Leos! The Sun is back with a bang! Summer is here, bringing along with it mangoes and melons. Enjoy the fruits and iced mocktails, but please avoid consequences of overexposure to the sun like sunburns, pre-mature aging of the skin, wrinkling, and skin cancer, including melanoma, by practicing proper sun pro-tection. The hours between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. are the most hazardous for UV exposure. Use proper sunscreen and sunglass-es, carry umbrellas and hats if possible and wear loose-fitting and long-sleeved clothes. However, Mr. Sun had taken a backseat on the 1st of March, the day of War on Wheels (WOW)! It was a windy, chilly morning and unfortunately the rains on the previous night had played a spoil sport. Though a bit late, once the treasure hunt began, there was no stopping and we enjoyed the drive more due to the pleasant weather.

We Speak.Weather was also very favourable during the Kanha trip. And now Leos are all geared up for the Mul-tiple Convention at Delhi. How time flies! It just seems like yes-terday when our Board members were installed. And now this year too is coming to a close. There is good quote about time:

How did it get so late so soon? Its night before its afternoon.

December is here before its June.My goodness how the time has flewn.

How did it get so late so soon? And why do we want to hold time? What do we want to do with it?Time is what we want most,

but what we use worst. We all know these things The val-ue of time, the importance of money. But life goes on at its pace and in the run, we forget to ponder on these things or make any changes in our lifestyles. Take a moment, change immediately what needs to be changed. Dont waste time anymore!Since only a couple of editions are left, we urge you to send in your contributions to Apni Baat soon! Happy Reading! The Editors.

We were greeted with hoards of deer as we started our tour of the Mukki Zone in the National Park. The guides educated us on the variety of animals in that habitat as well as the animal calling which acts as an indicator of any tigers movement in the area. After much meandering and spotting Sambhar Deers, Barasinghas, Wild Boars and other species; just as we had given up hope on any tiger sighting, we heard a strong deer call, and behold, a tigress emerged from the thickets and gracefully crossed the road, and into the jungle on the other side. Unfortunately, only one of the three Gypsies got a view of this splendid animal; but the incident enthused the entire group for a possible sighting the next day.An otherwise uneventful and relaxing evening was spooked as the entire group sat together on a dimly lit terrace of one of the cottages and members started recounting (true and fake) ghost stories. With some senior members seemingly having had multiple first-hand experiences with the super natural (or just a collection of very life-like) stories, the incident sharing went on till late in the night. It was rumored that a few members were so spooked that they stayed up all night. The next day started early (really early) with a 6 AM safari. This time we were scheduled for Kanha Zone, and there were talks of Munna and Red-Eye, the alpha male tigers most often spotted in that Zone.

The beauty of dawn is something else, and as we entered the Sal and Bamboo forest, the quiet, surreal atmosphere of the place took our breath away. This time around we saw Jackals, Peacocks, a Bear, and even fresh tiger paw-marks on the dusty roads, but alas no tigers. We soaked in the quiet and the freshness of the forest as we headed back to the hotel (and our beds 6 AM safari, remember).

Up and about after a substantial lunch, it was time to hit the pool. We had, literally, a ball of a time, as members relaxed and lazed after an action packed safari schedule. The Clubs General Meeting was held later that evening, and everyone sported the Club T-Shirt in full Leo spirit. It was departure time the next day, but still handful of sightseeing remained before we boarded the Jabalpur-Indore Intercity late that night. After bidding adieu to Tuli and the Tigers that missed spotting us, we departed to Jabalpur and visited the famed marble rocks of Bedaghat. This was followed by a stopover at the Dhuandhar falls where more pictures were clicked by members than I guess the entire trip put together! We returned on the morning of 23rd March with memories of laughter and unadulterated fun, having made new friends and developed stronger bonds with fellow Club members. It was a trip that will always be fondly remembered by those who participated and regretted by the ones who missed. Like it was said there are now 2 kinds of members: those who went to Kanha, and those who didnt.

    THE ANNUAL ADRENALINE RUSH!!

Best Decorated Car and lots more which boosted the spirits of everyone! The judge for these competitions was a renowned painter, Mr. Milind Naphde. After the judgment, the clue sheets were given to the teams and every body rushed off. The hunt started at 10.30Am and lasted for 2 and half hours.

The clues this year had some added fun to them and were somewhat like, The glorious history of Indore is incomprehensible, so is this clue. Inside SS Infinitus Go behind Sachins monument, play a little game. The yang to the yin will take you to this place. And the collectibles, as always had their own prominent presence with one of them being as innovative as Living Being of clade Avialae in an Aviary .From 12.45PM the overjoyed teams had started to return with their clues stamped and an aviary in the hands! All energized to the get their collectibles ticked and clues stamps accepted! This was followed by the Prize Distribution where the best team name selected was Namoste WoW (Team of Leo Prachi Bobra) and the hunt winners being Leo Vishal Khasgiwala and his Team!To celebrate their victories, everyone then proceeded for Lunch marking the end of the event. As promising as its success, WoW this year again received an overwhelming response from the club as well as the city of Indore and once again showed that when LCI does something, its nothing but the best!

[ ]THE THEME FOR THE YEAR WAS MAKE IN INDIA WHICH GAVE ALL THE PARTICIPANTS A VERY WIDE SPACE FOR THEIR CREATIVITY TO PONDER AND THIS WAS QUITE EVIDENT IN THEIR EXECUTION AS WELL.

MYTH Green tea helps to lose weight fast A 1999 study conducted Dr. Dulloo at the University of Geneva found that green tea boosted energy expenditure by 4%. If you burn 2,000 calorie a day, this translates to 80 calories, roughly the same amount of calories in a small banana. So if you expect green tea to work its magic, you would be disappointed. However, if you structure your diet correctly, regular use of green tea can stabilize your metabolism and help you reinforce your already established weight loss plan.MYTH Adding milk to tea negates its health benefits.According to Kerri-Ann Jennings, a registered dietician. Although previous studies said this was the case, the most recent research has found that adding milk to tea does not negate its health benefits.

    3#

    4#

MYTH Have green tea as much as you canTake any healthy food excessively and it is likely to turn into a poison. The same applies to green tea. Many

population studies documenting its health benefits are based in Asia, where people typically drink 3 cups a day. Studies conducted by Imai suggest drinking as many as 10 cups. Hence experts recommend drinking 3 to 10 cups a day.

MYTH Black and green tea come from different tea plantsWhat is the difference between black and white pepper? When you remove the outer fruit from black pepper, the inner seed is white pepper. The same applies to tea. Green, oolong and black tea all come from one tea plant: Camellia sinensis. They are just processed differently. This doesnt mean all tea plants are the same. Tea is an out breeder. It has been cultivated & selected by men for years. Different cultivars are suited for making different types of teas.

Mrs. Amita Agrawal(Mother of Leo Ankit & Leo Anshul Agrawal)

grew up in West Delhi, and went to The Army Public School. My father was in the army and my mother in a government job a typical middle class setup. In school, I was a good student, though not extraordinary. In fact i see the scores required now and shudder on how one can get a good college. My class X score was 76% and class xii 85%.

FORBES INDIA: YOU LEFT A SECURE (THOUGH IT ISNT AS SAFE A FIELD THESE DAYS!) AND LUCRATIVE CAREER TO PURSUE THE WRITING DREAM, A LIFE THAT IS NOTORIOUSLY UNPREDICTABLE. WHAT HELPED YOU MAKE THE DECISION? HOW LONG DID IT TAKE TO MAKE THE BREAK? ANY REGRETS? DID IT HELP THAT YOUR WIFE IS A SUCCESSFUL PROFESSIONAL IN HER OWN RIGHT?

CHETAN BHAGAT: I think the continued response to all my books, and the rising fan base made me feel that ultimately I meant to something other than working in the bank. I still kept working all the way until three books became bestsellers and two movies based on them went on the floor. A top psychiatrist in Delhi told me that my impact on young minds is tremendous, and I have the power to influence them on how they live their life, if I want to take it. Hence, I should stop positioning myself as just a funny author. That conversation had an impact. The safety was the main reason to stay on, as were the middle class upbringing values that you just dont quit an MNC bank job. I think the final point came when I was able to overcome the lure of money. I worked for a long time internally on letting go of my attachment and identity to the amount of money I made. When that happened, the bank job seemed even more pointless. There were things I wanted to do apart from books (like the talks and columns) and the job was preventing me from doing it. My wifes job, ironically, was not a factor in favour of quitting but quite otherwise. My wife working creates even more pressure for me to remain successful. I would though say that one big reason for me to leave was our kids, as with both of us working and me having this extra-large extra curricular activity, the kids had not time from us. I am far calmer and happier today after quitting, but yes, the end of the month salary is missed.FORBES INDIA: YOU SPEAK OF DOING AROUND 50 TALKS AROUND THE COUNTRY EVERY YEAR. YOU WRITE REGULAR COLUMNS. YOU KEEP IN TOUCH WITH YOUR FANS VIA YOUR SITE AND SOCIAL MEDIA. HOW THE HECK DO YOU FIT IT ALL IN AND STILL GET THE BOOKS DONE?

CHETAN BHAGAT: Yes, it is a tough balance. I have limited myself to four talks a month, or roughly once a week, though mostly I combine a couple of them on one trip. I also write my column once in two weeks, as a weekly one would be difficult for me. When I am writing a book, I withdraw from my blog and networking sites something my fans are not too happy about but ultimately understand. Right now, I am not writing anything as 2 States just came out, so I have time to tweet. I also plan to slow the pace of my book releases. Four books in five and a half years is quite fast.

FORBES INDIA: IF THINGS DONT STAY AS GOOD AS THEY HAVE BEEN THUS FAR IF YOUR NEXT BOOKS DOESNT SELL AS MUCH THE PREVIOUS ONES, FOR INSTANCE DO YOU HAVE A PLAN B?

CHETAN BHAGAT: There is some sort of a plan B, but frankly life doesnt work that way. Ill just have to figure out plan-B if the need arises, but also only when the need arises. I have enough degrees to get me some employment. Dealing with the lack of writing success well, I think I will devote myself to spiritual activity more.

BEING CREATIVE IS NOT A HOBBY, IT IS A WAY OF LIFE!

Quilling or paper filigree is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped and glued together to create intricate and interestng designs. The paper is rolled, looped, curled, twisted and

otherwise manipulated to create shapes, which make up designs to decorate greetng cards, pictures, boxes, and to make fashion jewellery. The most popular and

versatle technique is that of rolling. Many quilled art works can be found on ladies purses, fashion jewellery, candles, wide range of frames, miniature designs, mobile covers, storage boxes and much more. An interestng form of paper quilling is creatng miniature three-dimen-sional models with paper strips.

PAPER QUILLED JEWELLERYPaper quilling jewellery is quite popular these days. We can easily make beautful paper quilling earrings or jhumkaas with this craft form. With a pinch of creatvity and patence, we can make stunning paper jewellery. The best point is these accessories are eco-friendly and light in weight. These accessories are coated with sealant which makes them water and dust resistant.

Paper quilling takes a lot of patence and practce, but the results can be very rewarding. The more you practce, the beter you will be at it.WHEN LIFE GIVES YOU HANDS MAKE HANDMADE!
