Note

- If the TV feels cold to the touch, there may be a small “flicker” when when it is turned on. This is normal, there is noth-ing wrong with TV.

- Some minute dot defects may be visible on the screen, appearing as tiny red, green, or blue spots. However, they haveno adverse effect on the monitor's performance.

- Avoid touching the LCD screen or holding your finger(s) against it for long periods of time. Doing so may produce sometemporary distortion effects on the screen.

CAUTION concerning the Power Cord

Most appliances recommend they be placed upon a dedicated circuit; that is, a single outlet circuit which powers only thatappliance and has no additional outlets or branch circuits. Check the specification page of this owner's manual to be certain.

Do not overload wall outlets. Overloaded wall outlets, loose or damaged wall outlets, extension cords, frayed power cords,or damaged or cracked wire insulation are dangerous. ATTACHING THE TV TO A WALLWe recommend that you set up the TV close to a wall so it cannot fall over if pushed backwards. Additionally, we recommend that the TV be attached to a wall so it cannot be pulled in a forward direction, poten-tially causing injury or damaging the product. Caution: Please make sure that children don’t climb on or hang from the TV.

Insert the eye-bolts (or TV brackets and bolts) to tighten the product to the wall as shown in the picture.

* If your product has the bolts in the eye-bolts position, loosen the bolts.

Secure the wall brackets with the bolts (not provided as parts of the product, must purchase separately)on the wall. Match the height of the bracket that is mounted on the wall to the holes in the product.

Ensure the eye-bolts or brackets are tightened securely.

Use a sturdy rope (not provided as parts of the product, must purchase sepa-rately) to tie the product. It is safer to tie the rope so it becomes horizontalbetween the wall and the product.

Open the battery compartment cover on theback side and install the batteries matching cor-rect polarity (+with +,-with -).

Install two 1.5V AA batteries. Don’t mix old orused batteries with new ones.

Close cover.

Use a remote control up to 7 meters distance and30 degree (left/right) within the receiving unitscope.

Dispose of used batteries in a recycle bin to pre-serve environment.

Place the set with the screen facing down ona cushion or soft cloth as shown.Before unfolding the stand, please make suretwo locks (A) on the bottom of the stand pushoutward.

Pull the stand out as shown.After unfolding the stand, please insert andtighten the screws (provided as parts of theproduct) in the holes (B) on the bottom of thestand.

of the stand. And then pull two Hooks (D) of the standbottom and fold the stand into the back of the set.

1. Depending on the graphics card, DOS mode maynot work if a HDMI to DVI Cable is in use.

2. When Source Devices connected with HDMI/DVIInput, output PC Resolution (VGA, SVGA, XGA,WXGA), Position and Size may not fit toScreen.Press the ADJUST button to adjust thescreen Position of TV SET and contact an PCgraphics card service center.

3. When Source Devices connected with HDMI/DVIInput, output TV SET Resolution (480p, 720p,1080i. 1080p) and TV SET Display fit EIA/CEA-861-B Specification to Screen. If not, refer to theManual of HDMI/DVI Source Devices or contactyour service center.

4. In case HDMI/DVI Source Devices is not connect-ed Cable or poor cable connection, "NO SIGNAL"OSD display in HDMI/DVI Input. In case that VideoResolution is not supported TV SET output inHDMI/DVI Source Devices, "INVALID FORMAT"OSD display. Refer to the Manual of HDMI/DVISource Devices or contact your service center.

5. Check the image on your TV. There may be noiseassociated with the resolution, vertical pattern,contrast or brightness in PC, HDMI/DVI mode. Ifnoise is present, change the PC or HDMI/DVImode to another resolution, change the refreshrate to another rate or adjust the brightness andcontrast on the menu until the picture is clear. If therefresh rate of the PC graphic card can not bechanged, change the PC graphic card or consultthe manufacturer of the PC graphic card.

6. Avoid keeping a fixed image on the TV's screen fora long period of time. The fixed image may becomepermanently imprinted on the screen.

7. The synchronization input form for Horizontal andVertical frequencies is separate.

- There are two different ways inorder to add or delete scannedchannels. One is "Custom List"and the other is "Favorite List" inthe channel list. Both of them areavailable after EZ Scan on theSETUP menu.

- A Custom List can be created bytoggling each channel on or offwith ENTER button. The chan-nels in the Custom List are dis-played in black color, and thechannels deleted from theCustom List are displayed in graycolor. Once a channel is high-lighted you can add or delete thechannel by referring to the smallwindow at the top-left corner ofthe screen.You can create yourown Favorite List. Use the FAVbutton on the remote controlwhen a channel is highlightedand then you can add or deletethe channel to/from the FavoriteList.

The Parental Control Function (V-Chip) is used to block program viewing based on the ratings sent by the broadcast-ing station. The default setting is to allow all programs to be viewed. Viewing can be blocked by the type of programand by the categories chosen to be blocked. It is also possible to block all program viewing for a time period. To usethis function, the following must be done :

1. Set ratings and categories to be blocked.2. Specify a password3. Enable the lock

V-Chip rating and categoriesRating guidelines are provided by broadcasting stations. Most television programs and television movies can beblocked by TV Rating and/or Individual Categories. Movies that have been shown at the theaters or direct-to-videomovies use the Movie Rating System (MPAA) only.

Parental Lock Setup

Press the MENU button and then use DD / EE button to select the LOCKmenu. Then, press the GG button• If Lock is already set, enter the password as requested.• The TV is set up with the initial password “0-0-0-0”.

Use the DD / EE button to choose from the following Lock Menu options.Once the option is selected, change the settings to your preference.• Lock System: Activates or disables the blocking scheme you set up

ings limits specified, so children cannot view certain movies. Youcan set the ratings limit by blocking out all the movies with the rat-ings above a specified level. Keep in mind that the movie ratingslimit only applies to movies shown on TV, not TV programs, such assoap operas.

• TV Rating-Children: Prevents children from watching certain chil-dren's TV programs, according to the ratings limit set. The childrenrating does not apply to other TV programs. Programming a code into a remote mode

Test your remote control.To find out whether your remote control can operate the componentwithout programming, turn on the component such as a VCR and pressthe corresponding MODE button (VCR) on the remote control, whileilluminating on the selected component. Test the POWER button to seeif the component responds properly. If not, the remote requires pro-gramming to operate the device.

Turn on the component to be programmed, then press the correspond-ing MODE button on the remote control.

Press the MENU and MUTE buttons simultaneously for 2 seconds, thebutton selected component lights on the remote control. If you don'tpress any button for 20 seconds, the button selected component will turnoff on the remote control. At a moment, you have to repeat from step 2.

Enter a code number using the number buttons on the remote. Whenpressing the button, the light is blinked at a time. Programming codenumbers for the corresponding component can be found on the follow-ing pages. Again, if the code is correct, the device will turn off.

Press the MENU button to store the code. After blinking twice, this codeis stored.

Test the remote control functions to see if the component respondsproperly. If not, repeat from step 2.

The video function does not work.

No picture &No sound

No or poor coloror poor picture

• Adjust Color in menu option.• Keep a sufficient distance between the product and the VCR.• Try another channel. The problem may be with the broadcast.• Are the video cables installed properly?• Activate any function to restore the brightness of the picture.

Picture appearsslowly after

switching on

• This is normal, the image is muted during the product startup process.Please contact your service center, if the picture has not appeared after fiveminutes.

Horizontal/verti-cal bars or pic-

ture shaking

• Check for local interference such as an electrical appliance or power tool.

Poor reception onsome channels

• Station or cable product experiencing problems, tune to another station.• Station signal is weak, reorient antenna to receive weaker station.• Check for sources of possible interference.

Lines or streaksin pictures

• Check antenna (Change the direction of the antenna).

• Check whether the product is turned on.• Try another channel. The problem may be with the broadcast.• Is the power cord inserted into wall power outlet?• Check your antenna direction and/or location.• Test the wall power outlet, plug another product’s power cord into the outlet

where the product’s power cord was plugged in.

The remote control doesn’t work

The operation does not work normally.

• Check to see if there is any object between the product and the remotecontrol causing obstruction.

• Are batteries installed with correct polarity (+ to +, - to -)?• Correct remote operating mode set: TV, VCR etc.?• Install new batteries.

Power is suddenlyturned off

• Is the sleep timer set?• Check the power control settings. Power interrupted• No broadcast on station tuned with Auto off activated.

• A change in ambient humidity or temperature may result in an unusualnoise when the product is turned on or off and does not indicate a fault withthe product.

No output from oneof the speakers

• Adjust Balance in menu option.

Screen color isunstable or single

• Check the signal cable.• Reinstall the PC video card.

The signal is out ofrange.

There is a problem in PC mode.(Only PC mode applied)

• Adjust resolution, horizontal frequency, or vertical frequency.• Check it whether the signal cable is connected or loose.• Check the input source.

• Work the Auto configure or adjust clock, phase, or H/V position. (Option)

1. Here’s a great way to keep the dust off your screen for a while. Wet a soft cloth in a mixture of lukewarm waterand a little fabric softener or dish washing detergent. Wring the cloth until it’s almost dry, and then use it to wipethe screen.

2. Make sure the excess water is off the screen, and then let it air-dry before you turn on your TV.

To remove dirt or dust, wipe the cabinet with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.Please do not use a wet cloth.

If you expect to leave your TV dormant for a long time (such as a vacation), it’s a good idea tounplug the power cord to protect against possible damage from lightning or power surges.

- Early malfunctions can be prevented. Careful and regular cleaning can extend the amount of time you will haveyour new TV. Be sure to turn the power off and unplug the power cord before you begin any cleaning.
