Good morning , my name is Popa Cristian Vlad and in my presentation I will describe my house of choice, the Ozenfant House deigned by Le Corbusier , as well as the reasons it helds this position in my heart.

To begin with, its location. The house is situated in the relative center of Paris, on a small, irregular patch of ground surrounded on 2 sides by streets. Its presence there is not easily overlooked as Le Corbusiers artwork stands out from the pre XX century buildings surrounding it. Right from the street, it is clear that the patch of land has a unbuilt patch of land, used as a private courtyard with a entrance to the house . It is clear that the big gap in the fence as well as the wall was suited to allow cars to be parked inside the house , not as a burden, but as a exhibit and display of wealth and taste due to the low affordability of cars at that time. In the same courtyard we can also see what seems to be one of the signature features of the house- a spiral staicase leading to the 2nd floor balcony.Going inside the house it is clear that the attention was planned to be directed towards the center of the hall, and that is the place the car was meant to be parked, with no other interior route to the second floor that would prevent the guest from observing it. After passing the car, another set of spiral staircase leading to the 2nd floor is revealed. It is clear this type of stairs was used not only as a design feature, but as a functional one, the area being too small to house other type of stairs without medling with the way rooms are arranged.On the 2nd floor, the guests find themselves entering through a hall adjacent to the kitchen. This floor also houses a bathroom, a spacious living room as well as a gallery and a museum.Going another floor up using the same stairs finnaly reveals another main, definitive feature- The studio. Designed to fit a cube that would leave openings on 3 of its sides for light to come in, the studio is by far the biggest single room of the entire house.
