The story behind........Tailored apparel, the smart collection of VonWinckelmann brand, was launched in 2004 by designer Franklin von Winckelmann.
After ten years, in November 2014 he launched an innovative retail collection of lifestyles products.
In addition to the custom concept of apparel, shoes, bags and silk accessories, whichcan be tailored to the requirements of the retailer and or consumer VonWinckelmannintroduces a brand of interior accessories.
The theme of the collection of interior accessories is ‘Imperfect Design Living’. The products are manufactured from denim and/or recycled textiles and dyed in an authethic process of organic leaves. These fibers are hand spun and joined into textile strips, which are then sewn together. VonWinckelmann then manufactures these textiles into imperfect carpets and lounge cushions that can be ordered as a custom made product. Through the unusual finishing process of the product, the colors are delicately faded giving the final product a imperfect look that is so familiar in VonWinckelmann’s signature.
The production of ‘Imperfect Design Living’ takes place in Bali Indonesia in collaboration with specialized local companies. In this way the exclusive and handcrafted character of the Imperfect Design Living products can be ensured. The Fair Trade conditions are monitored under auspices of the designer Franklin von Winckelmann.
In addition to custom made, the collection is also available in stock series.
