LawAfrica Law Reports (LLR) (Active)
This is the most comprehensive raw database of court decisions from Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania
COMESA Court of Justice. It currently holds over 50,000 decisions, updated frequently whenever
new cases come up. The decisions are from the highest courts in East Africa among them the
Supreme Court of Uganda, The Court of Appeal of Uganda, The Court of Appeal of Tanzania, The
Commercial Court in Tanzania, The Court of Appeal in Kenya, The Commercial Court in Kenya and
soon to include decisions from Rwanda and Southern Sudan. LLR are solely accessed via the website

East Africa Protectorate Law Reports (EAPLR) (Coming Soon)
East Africa Protectorate Law Reports is a series of law reports covering the protectorates of Kenya,
Uganda and Tanzania from the year 1909 to 1933. They consist of cases determined by the High
Court of Mombasa, the Appeal Court at Zanzibar, and by the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council,
on appeal from that Court. They also contain appendices containing notes on native customs, Appeal
Court rules, legal practitioners' rules, High Court rules and circulars.
East Africa Court of Appeal Reports (EACAR) (Coming Soon)
This series holds decisions from Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania that run from 1934 – 1956. The reports
comprise 23 volumes of cases compiled by Puisne Judges and Magistrates, a Registrar of the High
Court and a Registrar of the Court of Appeal for Eastern Africa. These are now available from
LawAfrica in a 10 Volume set.
East Africa Law Reports (EALR) (Active)
East Africa Law Reports, presented in print, CD-ROM and online version, contains the latest and
most important decisions from Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania and landmark decisions from the
COMESA Court of Justice (Lusaka, Zambia). The reports cover the period 1957 – 2010. Subjects
covered include Banking, Intellectual Property, Taxation, Family Law, Customary Law, Shipping Law,
Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, Property Law, Administrative Law, and Judicial Review, Election
Law, Practice and Procedure.

Uganda Protectorate Law Reports (UPLR) (Coming Soon)
These are cases decided in the High Court of Uganda in the period covering 1904 – 1951. They also
included a list of reported cases in the preliminary pages.
Uganda Law Reports (ULR) (Coming Soon)
Uganda Law Reports was published by LawAfrica in conjunction with the government of Uganda
acting through the Law Development Centre. They contain Ugandan decisions decided in the
Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, High Court, and they include Criminal Cases, Civil Cases and
Commercial Cases. These are cases from 1952 to 1974 and 2007, 2008.
Tanzania Law Reports (TLR) (Coming Soon)
These are the official Law Reports of the United Republic of Tanzania published by LawAfrica in
conjunction with the Republic of Tanzania. The Reports contain authoritative and wide-ranging cases
decided in the Court of Appeal in Tanzania and the High Courts of Tanzania and Zanzibar from 1980
to 2006. In addition, they are a list of reported cases; a full digest of cases reported; and East African
cases, foreign cases, legislation, words and phrases, judicially considered. Cases are listed
alphabetically and by the area of law covered: civil, commercial, constitutional, contract, criminal,
customary, and family law, and more. Judges of the Court of Appeal and the High Court of Tanzania
and the High Court of Zanzibar, are listed in each volume.
Laws of Kenya (LOK) (Active)
The Laws of Kenya is a major work comprising over 25,000 pages of legislation and subsidiary
legislation of the republic of Kenya. The CD-ROM contains all the Laws currently in force in Kenya,
arranged in alphabetical order. These include all relevant Chapters (CAP) and yearly Acts as well as
key subsidiary legislation under each law.
Odunga’s Digest (Active)
Odunga’s Digest on Civil Case Law and Procedure is a voluminous 5000 page, 4 volume works that
extensively analyses civil case law from abuse of court process to wrong dismissals. This CD-ROM
contains both procedural and substantive civil decisions and cases from Kampala Law Reports, Kenya
Law Reports (1976 to 2005) and the East Africa Law Reports (1976 to 2008). It also contains those
decisions that have been overturned or confirmed by the Court of Appeal since the first edition.

key reports which can be accessed online include the Law Africa Law Reports, East Africa Law
