identify how our system references the LAW 9000 standard. All of [firm name] documents are created
to serve highly skilled and extensively trained employees. The level of detail in the manual varies
based on the specific operational and administration tasks. The manual is designed to support
minimal supervision by being readily available.

This Quality Manual has been established and shall continue to be maintained in order to provide
the reader with:

clause 7.3 do not apply and have been excluded from the standard’s requirements.
Documentation related to all activities performed within the practice are included or referenced in
the quality manual
the quality management procedures as defined in clause 4.2.1 are referenced in the
quality manual
a description of the sequence and interaction between the processes which make up the QMS.
The pyramid describes the different levels of documentation within the QMS.
3. Responsibilities
The [name/position] is responsible for coordinating the writing of the necessary procedures and work
instructions and for the review and approval of the manual. As with all [firm name] documents, the
manual is reviewed and updated either upon annual revision or during the quality audit process.
4. Procedure
The procedures in this quality manual are written using the language of the legal profession with
specific reference to terms commonly used in our business. Our quality system addresses the
requirements of the Australian quality management standard LAW 9000. The quality manual shall be
controlled as defined under clause 4.2.3 of this manual.
5. Essential Control
The effective implementation of the QMS is ensured through a comprehensive management review
defined in clause 5.6 of this manual.
