Even our local cultural heritage has been influenced by Latin
Lincolnshire – short for Lindum Colonia Lindum the Romans formed from “llyn”
The word “sausage” comes from “salsus” meaning “salted”
Literature and Film still centre around myths and legends from the Ancient worlds
Harry Potter’s spells are largely based on Latin and celebrate the fun and power of language
“expecto patronum” “nox”
