Annual Pet Festival & Home ShowCAPITAL DISTRICT – More than 50 vendors have signed up for the annual Pet Fest and Home Show of Clifton Park. Event will be held on Saturday, September 22 on the grounds of the Shenendehowa Methodist Church, Rt. 146, from 10am-3pm. Sponsored by Curtis Lumber and NBT Bank, owners of pets are invited to bring along their four-legged friends for a day featur-ing groomers, vets, trainers, sitters and others. There will also be displays of home remodeling. The blessing of pets will be conducted by Pastor Allan Delamater, followed by the Grand March, with judges awarding merchant-donated prizes. Adult admission is $5 with children and parking free. High-light of the day is free pony rides. The festival lends support to shelter and rescue groups, and the church’s missionary program. Program for Persons with Hearing LossLOUDONVILLE – Hearing Loss Association of Albany will sponsor rep-resentatives from the Town of Colonie EMS, Fire and Police Departments at 6:30pm on Thursday, September 27 at the Colonie Town Library (629 Albany Shaker Rd., Loudonville. Attendees will learn how to handle emer-gency situations, including: Communicating with emergency responders; Recommended safety devices for persons with hearing loss; and How do we make a 911 call when we are unable to hear the dispatcher?
