with Ssang Yong Motor to acquire its majority stake.

SsangYong Motor is South Korean SUV maker.

China's SAIC Motor Corp owns 10 % in it and about 70 % is held by creditors.

M & M are committed to leveraging SsangYong's strong competencies in R&D and technology by investing in a new SYMC product portfolio.

Marico buys Ingwe brand from SA Marico buys Ingwe brand from SA coco

Marico Industries has acquired an over-the-counter healthcare brand called Ingwe from South Africa-based.

The Mumbai-headquartered company had entered South Africa in 2007.

Marico’s South African business recorded a 34% growth in FY10.

Ingwe products have a current turnover of Rs.15 cr.

HUL hikes soap prices to offset HUL hikes soap prices to offset rising input costrising input cost

HUL has hiked the prices of Lifebuoy soap by over 6% & reduced the pack size of Lux.

Price of its 120 gm Lifebuoy soap has been hiked to Rs 16 from Rs 15.

It has also stopped the promotional offer for its Lux soap.

This all has been done due to increase in cost of ingredients like the price rise in crude oil is around 11% from June to August.
