This Week: February 24, 2010 Presentation by Michael Touey on Energy Efficiency - PPL Utilities Marianne Pindar and Jeff Null are our greeters. Last Meeting: February 17, 2010 President Terry's 'State of the Club” program, in addition to complete report on our club to date, included awards to Jim Reinmiller for the Dictionary project, Mark Imbriaco for the Poinsettia Project, Foundation President Lex Sloot for “Kidz Koatz,” and Tim Tucker for the Family Picnic. Terry also conveyed our condolences to Donna Palermo on the passing of her father and Bernie Rudegeair on the passing of his father. Joyce Bradbury presented the “Rotary Foundation Minute,” spotlighting the work of a Canadian Rotary club chartered during the last Winter Olympics which has made wishes come true for six children with life-threatening illnesses, by making it possible for them to attend this year's Olympics. Carl Christopher and Gene Acri brought us the Four Way Test. Jennifer Brady was Terry Jones guest. Our Foundation President Lex Sloot was also in attendance. Mark Imbriaco won the 50/50. Rotarian Reminders: March 3rd-Regular Meeting- Jennifer Sloot and Toni Englehart will tell us about “WAZL Community Matters.” March 10th-Regular Meeting- Our own Jim Reinmiller will discuss the Hazleton Area Public Library's Capital Campaign. A Board Meeting follows. March 31st-Regular Meeting- Judy Hoppes will discuss the services of the American Cancer Society. 10-Day Posting In accordance to our club rules, the following individual has been proposed for membership: Paul Oswald, District Executive, Minsi Trails Boy Scout Council, proposed by Lew Dryfoos.
