1. Documents are scanned into an incoming folder over the web through Laserfiche Web Access and required index fields are filled out.
2. The Quick Fields Agent automatically extracts documents for cleanup, OCR, final indexing and filing.
3. All documents are automatically filed in the proper location in the repository based on information submitted at scan time.
1. The filing of a document or another action can start the workflow process. System users are notified via email when something has been routed to them.
2. Users participate in the workflow process by simply responding to an email. They access the system by clicking a link in the email – they don’t need to search or browse to find information because it finds them.
3. Based on the rule, the system will continue routing documents and notifying workflow participants until the process is completed and the documents are filed in their final location.

2. Security rights determine what users can do anywhere in the repository. Discretionary security allows departmental administrators to set security rights within their subset of the repository.
