Laser Serialization Program Lead : David Denton Team : Cell Leader, Operators, Ops Leader Problem Statement Endmill tools were being analyzed to increase tool life by 10%. This required a way to trace endmills over their lifespan. Actions Taken With input from the cell leader, operators and ops leader, I designed a program in Access that uniquely serialized endmills via use of a laser printer, along with a fixture to hold endmills in the laser. I held operator training sessions across all 3 shifts to implement the process into the cell’s supply chain. Controls Machine and Serialization program methods printed and available to operators.
