WEEKLY MASS SCHEDULE
Please note: Regular confessions resume on Saturday, January 11th from 11:15am to noon.
Offering Mass is a long-standing
tradition in our Catholic faith. Masses can be offered for the deceased, someone who is ill, or for someone’s birthday. Mass intentions ($10) are offered at weekday Masses only. Contact the parish office to request a Mass intention. We ask that you book well ahead of time if
you are requesting Mass for a particular date.
Home Visitation Ministry: Do you know of parishioners
who are unable to attend Mass
due to illness or age? If so,
please contact the office! We’d love to reach out to
them.
First Friday Communion: On the
first Friday of every month the Pastoral
Team will be offering Home Communion
visits following the 9:15am Mass until
mid-afternoon. If you, or someone you
know is not able to attend Mass and is not
currently receiving communion from a
Home Communion Minister, please call
the office.
Epiphany: Discovering Jesus for the Magi was a life-altering experience. He was an unexpected surprise to whom they offered their treasures of gold, frankincense and myrrh. Following their own religious traditions, they
believed that the appearance of a new star heralded the birth of a new king. In a humble home in Bethlehem, they found Him, and were so moved by the experience that they could not help themselves but had to share the light that had been revealed to them. In that encounter, they were enlightened by Christ. Epiphany is the first public manifestation of the presence of Jesus in our world.
We are now a Family of Parishes who, like the Magi, are seeking to encounter Jesus. We come to Him from a place of curiosity to discover the light of His presence. In all that we live – good, difficult or indifferent – God is with us! That is the promise of the Emmanuel! May the glory of the Lord shine on our Family of Parishes throughout 2020 that we may learn to publicly manifest Jesus in the world in which we live.
E-Bulletin: Did you know that our Family of Parishes has
electronic copies of the bulletin? If you want to get an early look at the bulletin while going paperless, please contact the office so we can add you to our email list!
Help us serve you better
The privacy act no longer
allows a list of hospitalized
patients to be given to clergy who visit the hospitals.
The only way to receive a visit while in hospital is
to inform the parish office that you are there!
Some of our senior parishioners have moved to rest
homes or nursing homes. It would be greatly
appreciated if family members could inform the
office so that some contact can be made with those
who no longer live in their own homes.
Finally, if your address or phone number has
changed in the past year or if you are new to the
parish, please be sure to notify the office so that our
records may be kept up to date.

2020 Financial Contributions: Each parish in our Family remains dependent on the Sunday collection to pay bills, assessments, staff salaries and ministry expenses. As the cost of living continues to rise, it is important to adjust our contributions if that is possible. Please consider increasing your weekly donation and please be generous to the Capital Campaign projects that need to be paid and for those that are projected for this coming year. Pre-authorized donations ensure that your contributions go to the church of your choice and help secure a budget for your parish. Forms are available at the entrances of the church or call Ruth at the office. Please remember that each community bears the responsibility of paying for their buildings and property maintenance, as well as paying for their fair share of the services that are offered by the Pastoral and Parish Staffs.

Vocation Corner: “ What is known in vocation circles as the “process of discernment” is simply the time we pilgrims here on earth take to identify our strengths
and gifts and determine how they may best be put to use in joyful service of the church and the world as we “journey onwards towards our heavenly homeland.”
