WEEKLY MASS SCHEDULE

The Presentation of the Lord: Today’s celebration of the Presentation of Jesus in the temple gives us a perfect opportunity for reflection. Simeon had prayed for years for the promised Saviour as he painfully

experienced his nation Israel as an occupied nation, her people still divided between the rich and poor. When Simeon took the child Jesus into his arms, he felt the consolation of God. His beautiful prayer expressed in the Gospel makes it clear that the birth of Christ was all Simeon needed to complete his life. He knew that his prayer had been answered.

We too experience difficult times in our lives when we need consolation. Our lives are riddled with troubles, some more difficult than others! We too must pray to God to help us with our concerns and hold on to the hope that when we encounter Jesus, we will be consoled. We meet Jesus in the Scripture readings and in the Eucharist which grants us His presence within us – we are consoled! With His power, we can change the world.

St. Joseph Gr. 4 class Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 1:15pm at St. Joseph Church. Parents and parishioners are most welcome to attend this celebration.

Pray for the sick in our Family of Parishes, especially for: Judy Durocher,

Help us solve a mystery! Each of our churches has a 'crib angel' or 'angel bank' that we have put at our crèches for years. When you put a coin in her purse, her head nods. We're trying to find out where they came from or who would have made them. In addition, we also know that other area churches have the same angel. If you know anything about it, please contact the parish office.

Prayer Blankets: Beautiful hand knitted prayer blankets are available free of charge to anyone who is ill or suffering in any way. They are lovingly crafted by Kerri Blanchette and have been blessed. If you’d like one, please call Deacon Art Bondy at (519) 962-9001.
