    Explanation of Exemptions

    :

    (bxl) exempts rom disclosure nformation currently and properly classified,pursuantto anExecutive Order;(b)(2) exempts rom disclosure nformation, which pertainssolely to the internal personnelrules and practices of the Agency;(bX3) exempts from disclosure information that another federal statute protects, provided thatthe other federal statute either requires that the matters be withheld, or establishesparticular criteria for withholding or refers to particular types of matters to be withheld.The (bX3) statutesupon which the CIA relies include, but are not limited to, the CIA Actof 1949:(bX4) exernpts rom disclosure rade secretsand commercial or financial information that is

    obtained from a personand that is privileged or confidential;(b)(5) exempts rom disclosure nter-and ntra-agencymemorandaor lettersthat would not beavailable by law to a party other than an agency n litigation with the agency;(bX6) exempts rom disclosure nformation from personneland medical files and similar files
