Narrative: Beat 815R responded to an OEMG call of a holdingan offender who was breaking info #rollers at 4100 S.Kildare. Beat 8158 arrived on scene and spoke to'the complainant ~rvho pointed to the offendef who hadfled on float. Beat 8158 pursued the offender in theirmarked. vehicle to 4000 S. Karlov, at which time theoffender who was acting irrational and was armedwith a knife, punctured their front passenger tire, andthen struck the windshield with his knife: Beafi 81 ~Rrequested a taser and additional units to respond andassisf with the apprehension of the aff~nder. Beat845:8 responded to 4'! 12 S. Pulaski and observedthe offender still armed with a knife walking in traffic.Beat 845R exited their vehicle and ordered theoffender to drop his knife. The offender refused ailverbal commands and cantinu~d to approach theofficers while still armed with his knife. Beat 845Rfearing for his life discharged his weapon.
