LIVAR– Laos’ No. 1 International Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration Show will be back again, even bigger at a brand-new
venue – the National Convention Centre from 7-9 June 2018. The inaugural event made an impact by being the �rst business-to-business exhibition that delivers key decision makers and buyers. LIVAR 2018 will build on this success with over 250 international brands including Pavilions representing China, Italy, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam expected to take part.
As one of the fastest growing economies in the region, and a population hitting 7 million, the country is experiencing growth with various construction projects, primarily in Vientiane, covering Speci�c and Special Economic Zones (SEZs). SEZs set the path for the development of modern urban infrastructures. These include commercial buildings like shopping centres, high-end hotels, restaurants, residential buildings, as well as agricultural and manufacturing industries, urban precincts, conference centres and recreation facilities. This has created huge demand for M&E equipment and services, particularly in air-conditioning and ventilation systems. LIVAR 2018 will continue to support the country’s HVACR needs.

Laos’ growth rate is projected to rise to 7% in 2018 - Asian Development Bank. Laos’ foreign direct investment is mainly in electricity generation, agriculture, mining, infrastructure projects and Special Economic Zones (SEZs).
In 2016, the services sector grew 9.0% due to growth in wholesale and retail trading, �nancial services, hotels and restaurants, and telecommunications.
Industry growth grew 8.0%, attributed to the construction of residential and commercial buildings and higher electricity production.
