Your Paper Trays

Devices come standard with four

500-sheet paper trays

By-Pass tray is for special or thick paper

media.

Maximum capacity is 50 sheets.

There are pictures on panel indicating if

document is to be placed face up or down.


Adjusting Your Paper Trays

To adjust the paper

tray sizes, from 5.5 x

8.5 inches up to 11 x

17 inches, first unlock

the green toggle at the

back of the tray.

Pinch the front green

tab and move guides.

Paper should be

touched on all four

sides. Lock guides

into place when done.


Paper Trays - Tandem

1. Tandem: fill the left side with 2 x 500 sheets

2. Push the tray back in and the device automatically transfers the paper

to the right side

3. After the transfer, open the tray and re-fill the left side (the right side

stays inside and feeds paper to the device)

To get back to the Printing functions, Press the PaperCut MF widget

on Home Screen


Logging In

Using your Computer User ID and Password log into the PaperCut

screen.


Printing jobs

The banner will show how many print jobs you have pending.

You can choose to Print All to release all print jobs,

Print release to see a list of your print jobs so you can choose which one to print,

Or Device functions to revert back to the main home screen of the device.


Logging out

When you are done printing, select Log Out to revert to the login

screen.


Copy Mode

Press the Copier widget on Home Screen


What you can tell the machine about the document you are about to Photocopy?

Is the document Color, Black and White? Do you need to enhance the copy quality?

Choosing your settings


Depending on the device you have rececived, you will have an option to

choose to copy your document in Color or Black & White.

B&W vs. Color


You can change the size of your document to any size the device carries, by

pressing Auto Reduce/Enlarge then simply select the paper size you would

like to reduce or enlarge to.

Select Quantity to choose how many copies to make of your job.

Select Density to lighten or darken your copy


Copying a small irregular size such as a cheque/driver’s licence/receipts?

The display panel will alert you with the following: “Cannot detect Original

Size”. Simply press the green start button again.

Auto Paper Select: The copier will automatically detect the size of your original

& match it to the paper loaded in the paper trays. Or select this tab to choose

your paper.

In this section, you can choose among the duplexing options and

options for combining documents.

For finishing options, you can select from Sort/Stack or Staple options.

Fax Mode

Press the Fax button on Home Screen


You may fax from the Auto Document

Feeder (originals, face up) or from the

glass (original face down)

Paper Placement


Preview: This allows you to see how your fax will appear to the

recipient, before being sent.

In the Settings section, you will be able to change the quality settings

for the document you are about to fax.

1 sided/2 sided orginal will allow you to select if your document is

double sided.

Memory transmission is used if you’d like to change the mode of how

your fax is sent.

ON HOOK:

Your machine will hold faxes in memory & redial a number 5

times,

( which can take up to 30 minutes.)

For an immediate fax, Select ON HOOK and the machine will

only try once.

On Hook


To send a fax, dial the number with the numeric keypad or select a pre-programmed

destination icon then press the Start button.

Fax Reception will show the last 200 transmissions and indicate if the

fax was completed or had an error.

Job Status will show the last 200 transmissions and receptions, will

show standby faxes, and indicate if the fax was completed or had an

error.

To cancel a fax

transmission while

in memory, press

the stop button.

The screen will

display all current

fax transmissions.

Select the job you

want to cancel,

then select ‘Stop

Transmission’.

Confirm by

selecting OK.

Scan Mode

Press the Scanner widget on Home Screen


Scan to Folder

Select the Scan to Folder option, and the available folders you can scan

to will appear.


The Preview option allows you to see how your scan will appear to

the recipient, before being sent.

Send Settings

By selecting Send Settings, you can choose what color to send your scan, the file type, adjust

the DPI, as well as advise if the document you are scanning is double or single sided.


Sending a Scan

When you are ready, select Start to send your scan.

If you would like to cancel your scan sending, press the Stop button.

Select the Scan to Email option.You can enter an email address by pressing the + button, or you can choose from

the available email addresses that appear.


The Preview option allows you to see how your scan will appear to

the recipient, before being sent.

When you are ready, select Start to send your scan.

ADF Sensors

The 3 sensors on the feed table

should not be blocked by paper, etc.:

it will result in undesired paper size

output, or the unit will beep

indicating to load special paper size in

the tray.


When the Staple icon (bottom left of screen) flashes, it is time to change

the staple cartridge.

Open the Finisher door and remove

the staple cartridge / casing.

Following the instructions inside the finisher

door, remove the cartridge from the casing and

insert a new one.

Note: each refill holds 5000 staples
