PYRENEES MOUNTAINS

The Pyrenees are a range of mountains in the north of the Iberian Peninsula, they form the natural border with France

They have a length of about 425 km and a width which generally does not exceed 100 km, with a total area of 19,000 km ².

The highest peaks of therange are Aneto (3,404 m)Pic de Posets (3,375 m) andMont Perdut (3,355 m),Punta d’Astorg (3,355 m)

MONTSERRAT

Montserrat is a mountain range in Catalonia that is outstanding in geology and topography with its own characteristics. Montserrat is a Benedictine abbey dedicated to the Virgin, the black madonna.

According to legend the image of the Virgin Mary was discovered in a cave (Santa Cova); since then Montserrat has been linked to spirituality.

The Lady, familiarly called the “LA MORENETA" for her dark skin, is a Romanesque wooden statue from the twelfth century; its color is the result of the transformation of varnish due to the passage of time.

COSTA BRAVA- SITGES

Sitges is a town and municipality in Garraf, Catalonia (part of the historical region of Penedès).

Sant Bartomeu i Santa Tecla is a seventeenth century church. The church is an iconic image on a hill that dominates the beach .
