Landscape, Nursery, and Greenhouse Management (LNGM) emphasizes the propagation and production of horticultural plants, including interior plants, bedding plants, trees and shrubs, as well as the maintenance of urban and community landscapes. Through hands-on experiences in greenhouses, gardens, and internships, you will learn to apply principles presented in your classes—ultimately developing a firm understanding of the relationship between plants, landscapes, people and the environment.

“The education I have gained through LNGM has provided me with a stable work ethic, knowledge of the latest research in the field, the ability to obtain necessary information, and a community of support. I now have the confidence to go forth in any LNGM position.”

Megan DavisField Research Technician, Mount Vernon R&E Center

“WSU’s Landscape, Nursery, and Greenhouse Management program consists of a variety of horticultural class choices such as plant physiology, pathology, entomology and greenhouse management. The foundation courses required for the major certainly prepared me for the advanced, upper-division classes and I enjoyed the progression of starting out general and then becoming more specific as I got closer to graduation. Expect to be challenged, but the long-term effort that you put into your studies, along with a positive interaction with your professors will be well worth your time.”
