Landscape and Resurfacing Pavers

Made from up to 95%RECYCLED MATERIAL

Helps projects earn LEED® certification easier than any other pavement.

Take less from the world and look good doing it. Unlike typical concrete pavers, AZEK Pavers are highly engineered to resist tarnishing for a durable patio or walkway surface with long lasting good looks. Sub-base requirements are similar to traditional concrete paver products.

PATIOS AND WALKWAYS

Make a memorable first impression with an AZEK Paver driveway or entrance

that has been designed to hold up under pressure. Delivering lasting durability and

good looks, AZEK Pavers resist damage from salt, chemicals, and freeze-thaw

conditions. Even clearing of the surface with a snow plow is allowed.

DRIVEWAY

Transform a tired wood deck into a low maintenance deck with a premium

appearance for less money than rebuilding it with traditional decking materials.

Installing AZEK Pavers over an existing deck structure is an easy way to forget

about staining your deck so you can get back to enjoying your weekends.

RESURFACE DECK

Have the first deck of its kind in the neighborhood. AZEK Pavers utilizes its cutting edge technology to create a unique, socially responsible and low maintenance alternative to decking materials. Available in five colors to complement any exterior, AZEK Pavers are designed for residential or commercial deck installations.

DECK

Combined with an open-graded base, AZEK Permeable Pavers help reduce the rate and quantity of runoff in typical applications. And, an aesthetically pleasing hardscape solution made from up to 95% recycled content, AZEK Pavers help projects earn LEED® certification easier than any other pavement.

PERMEABLE APPLICATIONS

AZEK Pavers offer exceptional durability and slip resistance demanded by architects and engineers. Available in five colors, AZEK Pavers stand firm resisting change from salt and other chemicals. AZEK Pavers are perfect for parking lots, entryways, patios and other commercial landscape applications.

COMMERCIAL APPLICATIONS

Revitalize your home by resurfacing your old concrete patio or walkway with AZEK

Pavers. An economical way to enjoy the strength, durability and versatility of pavers, AZEK Pavers are made from a

highly engineered material, will not crack, are stain- and impact-resistant, and are

designed to retain lasting good looks.

RESURFACING PATIOS & WALKWAYS

At less than one-half the weight of concrete pavers, AZEK Pavers bring

the strength, beauty and design versatility of pavers to flat roofs. Unlike concrete,

AZEK Pavers can be installed without the use of pedestal systems and expensive

building reinforcement.

FLAT ROOF APPLICATIONS

Combining recycled materials with cutting edge technology, AZEK ® Pavers are the most advanced segmented paving system in the world. PAVERS, REINVENTED

WORK SMARTER,NOT HARDER

FINALLY, A PRODUCT THAT DELIVERS FOR LEED®

GREEN REVOLUTION

ENGINEEREDFOR LIFE

•AZEK® Pavers use a patented grid system that dramatically reduces instal-lation time and takes the frustration and difficulty out of manually setting and aligning heavy concrete pavers.

•Grids are placed on the same even, compacted sand base used with conventional concrete pavers.

•AZEK Pavers are inserted into the grid in the desired pattern - alignment is automatic.

•Pavers are secured using a flat-plate com-pactor, and finally, sand swept into the paver joints completes the installation.

• Installing AZEK Pavers is so fast you’ll never want to install conventional pavers again.

Most building products claim meaningful contribution to the LEED® green building rating system, but don’t deliver. AZEK Pavers help projects earn

LEED certification easier than any other pavement.

Made from up to 95% recycled materials, AZEK Pavers outperform other pavers, such as concrete pavers with fly ash, by more than ten times.

AZEK Pavers can also meaningfully contribute to Stormwater Design, Regional Materials, and

Waste Management.

Become part of the green building revolution by using the

paver that is redefining an industry. Unchanged for 7,000 years, traditional

pavers now have a superior replacement: AZEK Pavers.

By combining recycled materials with cutting-edge technology, AZEK Pavers are less than one-half the weight of traditional

pavers allowing AZEK Pavers to be easily used in new applications such as flat roofs and residential decking.

Engineered to resist cracking and staining, AZEK Pavers are the most advanced segmented system in the world.

•AZEK Pavers provide strength, beauty and versatility but, unlike traditional pavers, AZEK Pavers offer unique qualities only available from a highly engineered material.

•AZEK Pavers stand up to foot traffic and low volume vehicle traffic (e.g. driveway or parking lot). And, unlike concrete, AZEK Pavers absorb little water so they resist cracking in cold weather climates.

•AZEK Pavers are guaranteed for life not to crack (residential applications only). Stain- and impact-resistant, AZEK Pavers are engineered to provide durable, long lasting good looks.

INSTALLATION CONSIDERATIONS

When installing AZEK

Pavers, these are some

important things to

keep in mind for the

best finished project.

Complete installation

instructions are available

on azekpavers.com.

EdgingFor a more secure fit, install standard paver edging around the perimeter of the patio or walkway. You may need to remove some topsoil to ensure that the land-scape edging is flush with the top of the pavers. Fasten edging with metal spikes every foot and backfill the sod for a clean look.

Gluing (Optional)To reduce movement of the pavers, such as on stairs or in front of doorways, use a solvent based construction adhesive that is compatible with plastics. Follow the manufacturer’s recommenda-tions and apply the adhesive to pavers as shown above. See azekpavers.com/glue for details.

PatternsProperly installed patterns provide an individual touch to your projects and allow pavers to interlockinstallation grids increasing stability and durability. Make sure grids are laid correctly to ensure pavers interlock each grid in all directions. See azekpavers.com for pattern details.

WeatheringAZEK Pavers’ color and finish will weather over a period of three to six months. This process may take considerably longer in areas of heavy shade or reduced sun exposure. Weathering is completely harmless and does not affect durability.

ExpansionAZEK Pavers will expand and contract with temperature change. See azekpavers.com/expansion for installation recommendations.

Fire PitsAZEK Pavers are not to be used as fire pits. Ensure that there is a minimum of four feet from any open flame. Standard charcoal or gas grills may be placed on top of AZEK Pavers. Rock, gravel or other concrete products can be used to provide border between the fire pit and AZEK Pavers.

Cutting• Jigsaw (6 amp or greater) with

a wood cutting blade 5- to 10-tooth per inch

• 10” power mitre saw (10” 24-tooth carbide tipped blade, Teflon® or other coating recommended)

STAIN RESISTANCE TEST• Start with one clean concrete paver and one clean AZEK

Paver.• Apply a small drop of ketchup and oil onto each paver.• Allow liquids to sit on the AZEK Paver while quickly

wiping off the ketchup and oil from the concrete paver.• Upon wiping concrete paver, notice stain marks left

by the liquids due to the porosity of the concrete that allows the liquids to be absorbed into the paver.

• Then wipe the ketchup and oil from the AZEK Paver to reveal no stain marks left behind. This stain resistance is due to the composition of rubber and plastics designed to deter even the most stubborn stainmakers.

EASE OF INSTALLATIONCompare the time and labor savings to install AZEK Pavers vs. concrete pavers:• No need to take the time to string lines to ensure

aesthetically pleasing straight runs of concrete pavers.• No more setting individual pavers using a rubber mallet

or dead blow hammer to create a level surface with concrete pavers.

• Concrete pavers may individually shift or move until sand is placed between them.

• AZEK Pavers insert easily into the specially designed grid system to ensure perfect alignment every time while securely holding them square and consistently spaced.

• Overlapping AZEK Pavers from grid to grid ties the entire system together making it uniform and secure.

Tamping traditional pavers in place with mallet

Installation grids ensure a straight, level layout every time.

CONSISTENCY TEST• Look at the edges of each type of paver.• Compare aesthetic quality of broken concrete paver edges vs.

smooth clean AZEK Paver edges.• Think about wear and tear on hands while handling and installing

sharp edges vs. finished edges. Smooth edges of AZEK Paver compared to chipped, rough

edges of traditional paver

CUTTING AND WORKABILITY• AZEK Pavers are easily handled and cut in the field as

compared to concrete pavers.• AZEK Pavers do not require the need to rent or purchase

expensive specialized cutting equipment. • There is no need for a water source to cut AZEK

Pavers as is often required for cutting traditional concrete pavers.

• There is no worry of inhaling airborne concrete dust particles when cutting AZEK Pavers.

• The AZEK Pavers can be easily cut individually by using a traditional miter saw (with proper blade) or cut in place after being installed into the grid system using a traditional jig saw (with proper blade). Radius cuts are also possible using a jig saw.

• Use of traditional saws allows installers to have multiple saws on site to ease and speed installation.

Cutting concrete paver with traditional saw

Using a string to keeps pavers straight with traditional pavers

Place AZEK Pavers in patented self-aligning grid

DURABILITY TEST• Using a hammer or another brick hit a corner of the

concrete paver and see what happens to the edges when hit with something solid.

• Strike the AZEK Paver or throw it on the ground to see and demonstrate its durability.

• AZEK Pavers resist degradation over time and loss of material when handling.

• AZEK Pavers retain their outstanding appearance longer than traditional pavers.

WEIGHT TEST• Stack and weigh 11 concrete pavers: 11 concrete pavers

= 64 pounds and covers 2.4 square ft.• Stack AZEK Pavers and Grids to equal 64 pounds, which

is 32 pavers and 4 grids and covers 7.1 sq ft.• This illustrates how easy it is to carry up to three times

the amount of AZEK Pavers as concrete pavers.

32 Pavers + 4 Grids = 64 Pounds11 Pavers = 64 Pounds

AZEK Paver after being hit with hammer

Traditional paver after being hit with hammer

After Scratch Resistance Test, notice scratches on traditional paver while

AZEK Paver resisted scratching

SCRATCH RESISTANCE TEST• Push the flat end of a screw-

driver across the surface of both a traditional concrete paver and an AZEK Paver.

• Notice that the concrete paver scratches easily and the AZEK Paver resists scratches.

AZEK® Paver Challenge See the Difference for Yourself. Compare AZEK® Pavers to traditional concrete pavers and you’ll quickly see why AZEK Pavers are superior.

Choose Pattern:AZEK Pavers can be installed in a multitude of different patterns and combinations. Designs can include small and large repeating patterns. Some example patterns are provided below:

IMPORTANT: At least one paver must connect two grids in each direction. The herringbone pattern does this without need-ingtospeciallyorientatethegrids.Hereishowthegridsmustbeorientatedtoassureoverlapinalldirectionsforotherpatterns:

Herringbone:This is the most popular and easiest to install pattern. Pavers will interlock grids in both directions.

PERMEABLE BASE MATERIALIMPORTANT: A civil engineer, landscape professional, or local municipality, is recommended to design the appropriate permeable base. Each permeable application is different, and there are multiple considerations that must be taken into account(e.g.amountofrainwater,runoffwaterfromhillsanddownspouts,soiltype,theinfiltrationrateofthepavers).
