  • Distinctive, innovative and versatile design. Outstanding breadth of capability on and off-road.

Instantly recognisable as a Land Rover. Packed with the latest, smart enabling technology, Discovery 3 takes the stress out

of everyday life and gets things done. Inside there are up to seven full-size adult seats and a flexible seating layout that offers multiple

configurations. Outside the design is bold, geometric. Multi-talented, Discovery 3 is the state-of-the-art, all-purpose Land Rover.

  • Whatever the surface, Discovery 3 takes it on with confidence and safety. The Terrain Response dial,

standard on derivatives with air suspension, gives access to over fifty-five years of Land Rover 4x4 expertise and the latest dynamic

technology. Cruising on tarmac, driving over deep ruts, grass, snow, mud or sand, Terrain Response is your own off-road driving

expert. Simply turn the dial and Discovery 3s engine, transmission, suspension and traction settings reconfigure for optimum

    driveability in all conditions.

  • Discovery 3 provides truly superb on-road driveability. The legendary Land Rover command driving position keeps

the driver in touch with the outside environment and gives better visibility over the traffic ahead, while the ergonomically designed

interior puts key controls at the fingertips. Uncompromising power and dynamic performance arrive in the form of two superb

engines: one petrol, one diesel. The 4.4 litre V8 petrol engine, with its lightweight, double overhead camshaft design delivering refined

power up to an impressive 299PS. And the 2.7litre V6 Diesel providing smooth torque distribution, flexibility, quiet refinement and

economy thanks to the latest common rail technology, innovative materials and exceptionally high fuel pressure.

  • WHICH

    WAY

    HOME?

Discovery 3 offers the very best of smart technology. For example, the Premium Navigation System includes off-road

navigation, with contour lines and a waymarking facility to enable a route to be retraced, via a high-resolution, 7-inch LCD wide-screen

display with touch-screen functionality. For a better view ahead on bends and a more effortless night-time drive, Discovery 3s optional

Adaptive Front Lighting varies the headlamp light cast, ensuring the beams follow the curve of the road. The electronic park brake

applies with the flick of a lever and, when automatic transmission is equipped, releases automatically as Discovery 3 pulls away for

    added ease and convenience.

    103713_L319_e_Brochure.qxd 9/2/07 2:38 pm Page 5

  • The interior of Discovery 3 is versatile, stylish and highly functional. As many as seven

adults can travel in complete comfort and enjoy a full-sized, forward facing seat, generous legroom and

wide-opening doors for easy access. The flexible, versatile seating layout offers multiple configurations to suit

almost every conceivable use. Stadium-style seating and generous glass areas, including the glass Alpine roof,

provide passengers with a panoramic view of the surroundings. And with front and optional rear air-conditioning

providing airflow to all seven seats, all occupants stay fresh and relaxed in their own personal space. While soft,

tactile leather from the finest Northern European hides further enhances the interior and bestows a feeling of

    premium individuality and quality.

    103713_L319_e_Brochure.qxd 9/2/07 2:38 pm Page 6

  • Safety gets the highest priority. Up to eight airbags are fitted: the front seats have both front and side airbags with each seat row having its own

curtain airbags. Key to Discovery 3s outstanding on-road and off-road dynamics is the Integrated Body-frameTM, a Land Rover patented technology. It delivers more

than the comfort, refinement and on-road attributes of a monocoque. It sets new standards for off-road performance too. Other features include Anti-lock Braking

System (ABS), Electronic Brake Assist (EBA) which supplies extra brake pressure in an emergency, and Electronic Traction Control (ETC) which helps maintain optimum

grip. There is also the option of Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), designed to warn you of low tyre pressure. Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and Active Roll

Mitigation (ARM) work with the braking system to correct cornering over or understeer and to help maintain stability at all times.

  • EXTERIOR COLOURS

Twelve eye-catching exterior colours. Choose from finishes featuring shimmering chrome particles, sparkling metallics, or deep rich

solid colours. To help your exterior colour choice co-ordinate with Discovery 3s interior trims, we recommend a number of combinations.

  • INTERIOR COLOURS

Three interior trims each bring their own special personality to Discovery 3. They are Alpaca, Ebony

and Tundra, which, combined with an Ebony colourway, provide an effective contrast. Of course, nothing brings an extra feeling of

prestige to the interior of Discovery 3 like leather.

A set of gleaming alloy wheels. Nothing highlights the character of a vehicle quite as effectively. An individual design is featured for

each Discovery 3 model derivative, with an optional second style choice also available for those who like to add a touch of personalisation.

PLEASE NOTE: When choosing vehicles fitted with specific wheel and tyre combinations or optional wheels and tyres, your intended use of the vehicle should be considered. Wheels with larger diametersand lower profile tyres will offer benefits in road holding and handling, but may be more vulnerable to damage in some off-road conditions, please discuss your requirements at your dealership when

    selecting your vehicle and specification.

  • At Land Rover, we are committed to addressing the challenges ofsustainable development. This includes the need to reduce CO2 emissions, as well as making

other positive contributions to the environment. The introduction of the Land Rover CO2 Offset

Programme represents a significant step along the road towards sustainability. This unique

initiative not only offsets the emissions created during the Land Rover manufacturing process

but also offsets emissions produced by Land Rover vehicles. It is the most comprehensive UK

offset programme ever undertaken by an automotive manufacturer. The pioneering Land Rover

CO2 Offset Programme funds carbon neutral projects across the world those that avoid or

reduce emissions ensuring that the amount saved balances the original output. To the end of

2008, the scheme is expected to offset over two million tonnes of CO2. Every 2007 Model Year

Land Rover now includes its own CO2 offset package as part of the on-the-road price.

The Land Rover CO2 Offset Programme is administered by Climate Care, an independant CO2

offset provider, which ensures that the average amount of CO2 produced by a Land Rover over

the first 45,000 miles (or three years) is offset by investments in a mixed portfolio of projects,

including renewable energy, technology change and energy efficiency initiatives. As an additional

global commitment to sustainability, Land Rover are participating in other conservation projects

such as The Born Free Foundation, The China Exploration and Research Society and The Royal

Geographical Society. Land Rover are also looking to the future. Land_e is a revolutionary concept

that incorporates an electric hybrid drive as well as other environmental technology approaches.

It sets out to reduce CO2 emissions and fuel consumption while remaining faithful to the unique

    essence of Land Rover.
