Landbased Qualifications Cultivate Your Skills ABC Awards (ABC) has a solid history of offering a diverse range of land based qualifications, including Practical Environmental Studies, Arboriculture, Animal Nursing and Animal Care. ABC has been working closely with Lantra (the Sector Skills Council for environmental and land based sector) to extend and create a comprehensive and dynamic range of provision listed on the Qualifications and Credit Framework, which now includes Practical Countryside Skills, Practical Floristry Skills, Practical Farm Animal Care and Horticulture as well as new qualifications available within Foundation Learning. Foundation Learning Framework The new credit based qualifications at Entry Level through to Level 1 are available within Foundation Learning. The Level 2 Certifi cate and Level 3 Award and Certifi cate in Small Animal Care have accreditation end dates of 31 July 2010 and will be replaced by Level 2 Award & Certifi cate and Level 3 Award & Certifi cate in Practical Animal Care Skills.
The Level 2 Certifi cate for Animal Nursing Assistants will continue to be funded until December 2010. The new ANA qualifi cations are currently being developed and will be available from January 2011.

All the arboriculture qualifi cations are currently being redeveloped for the QCF ready for 2011.
Landscaping

* The Work-Based Diplomas are replacement qualifi cations for previous NVQs. Lantra (the Sector Skills Council for the environment and Land Based Sector) has confi rmed the Work Based Diplomas are eligible for funding as part of the apprenticeship framework and also as stand alone qualifi cations for the 14 – 19 age category.
