Welcometothe90thsummerseasonoftheLakesideWomen’sClub!Youwillnoticethatour143-year-oldclubhousehasafresherlookthisseason.Neweasy-to-operatewhitelouveredblindsprovideanevenbetterviewofCentralParkandLakeErie,andtheylookgreatfrom
theoutside,too.Lastfall,Lakesidetookcareofexteriorandinteriorrepairworkandhadtheoutsidepainted,whilewehiredapaintertobrightentheEleanorDurrroom.Therearemanytothankforallthis,andyou’llhearthedetailsasthe
summerprogresses.Also,we’vebeeninvitedtobeahostduringtheLakesideSymphonyCandlelightShowcaseonAugust9.AnotherincentivetomakeGreenGablesasbeautifulandwelcomingaspossiblewhilecontinuingtofunctionasoneofthebusiestspacesinallofLakeside!I’msogladyouchosetobeapartoftheLWC!

GreenGablesLendingLibrarySince1941we’vebeenloaningbookstovisitorsandresidentsofLakeside.BetsyKennedy,ourhelpfulandfriendlylibrariansince2003,willhelpyouselectandcheckoutbooksfrom1-4p.m.Monday,Tuesday,WednesdayandFriday,andfrom9-11a.m.Saturday.ReturnscanbeplacedinthebookdroplocatedintheparkinglotatthecornerofFourthStreetandCentralAvenue.
