FUNDRAISING BEGINS FOR
LAKESIDE MANOR PROJECT
The process has begun to fund the completion of the
pilot episode and promotional trailer for Lakeside Manor.
Shannon Heights Television announced that it is has registered
and been approved by Kickstarter.com for the process of
obtaining funds of at least $15,000. Backers will receive
rewards which currently includes on releasing a special DVD
of pilot episode and promotional trailer. A project video is in
production and soon will be available describing the project
and a profile page that backers can use to check out the project
and to contribute. The pilot and promotional clips are needed to
secure distribution and sponsorship for the series to be
arranged. Scott Shangle Executive Producer says “we
definitely need the money. We’ve been paying for everything
out of pocket so this makes sense for the next step”. Backers
will make contributions of $2 to $5,000. The money will
primarily be used for renting set locations, set design, props,
food, supplies and other expenses. Cast and crew for the most
part are supplying there services on a volunteer basis for the
purposes of helping promote the success of the show and to
show their own talents and skills. Kickstarter funding is all or
nothing so we need to meet our deadline and funding goals as
set forth. If we don’t raise enough money than backers get their

money back. The project will target shooting dates in June and
July of this year.
Aly Chaffee taking pictures for $
Lakeside Manors star Aly Chaffee has been
busy making some extra money snapping pixs
for all sorts of things. MS Chaffee who is part of
the Lakeside Manor photo shoots is now taking
pictures for senior portraits and holiday pictures.
“Right now the show is doesn’t pay so everyone
has to do what they have to do” says Chaffee.
Chaffee has good photography skills comments
Scott Shangle. She took several pictures one of
our summer photo shoots. Besides taking photos
she is also working at a firm doing marketing
and is a nanny.
Summer Lakeside Manor photo shoot has actress Aly Chaffee (Angelina Parker) behind the camera along with Director of Photography Gene
Wang shooting actress Sarah Chase (Vegas Sister). Producer- Director ect Scott Shangle helps with the shoot.
Getting extra money taking pictures is a lot work because it’s
not just taking pictures but it’s all the time needed editing the
pictures. Chaffee plans to continue to pick up gigs till of course
Lakeside Manor starts to pay her big money and she can quite
doing them. Look for more photos from Aly though when
Lakeside Manor does its spring photo shoot. Shangle notes that
she will be working double duty in front and behind the camera she
can work both sides in this industry.
WORK BEGANS ON SPRING PHOTO
SHOOT
Planning for the upcoming spring photo shoot has
already begun say’s Executive Producer Scott Shangle. “We
are working on ideas for the shoot and scheduling has begun.
The primary shoot day is scheduled for Saturday April 30th
at
Greenlake in North Seattle which was the site of the fall photo
shoot.

THE STORY OF LAKESIDE MANOR
So where is Lakeside Manor and what is this place like?
Located north of the Big City in the Great State in Fox County
Lakeside Manor (pop 56,000) is very typical of a Middle
American suburb that like many began to grow to become large
population centers. Named after the resort built in the late teens
of the last century the area became identified as Lakeside
Manor during the late in 1940s. Lakeside Manor then saw
waves of expansion during the late 60’s when the freeway
came through and then came the mall in 1982 and with
continued grow and the need for more schools saw the opening
of Lakeside Manor High school in 1992. The now incorporated
city covers about 25 square miles but it still uses contract
police and fire protection from Fox County. There are nice
parks including a big state park, beaches, and everything else is
nearby. The weather is typical Midwest with highs in the
summer averaging mid 80’s and winter highs in the 30’s with
summer having some really hot days (over 100) and some cold
winters with temps down below zero. And during the spring
there can be tornadoes!
The rich live near the water and around the very
exclusive Lakeside Manor Golf and Country Club (Where
Lorraine Riches and daughter Kassandra live.) Upper middle
class live east of North Rd and the middle class live west of
North Rd. Lower class folks live west of the Main Highway.
Lots of higher education is around with the larger State College
nearby in Auburn Hills and Lakeside Manor Community
College is near the mall. The city was a large employment
center for banking, mortgages, real estate, and other financial
businesses that have been cut back significantly and the
economy has been depressed relative to the booming previous
decades. (Continued page on page 19)

PILOT EPISODE COMING THIS YEAR!
Work has begun on epic pilot.
“It’s really going happen.” That’s what Executive Producer
Scott Shangle say’s about the pilot episode of Lakeside Manor
that is now in production. With most of the cast and crew
together since last summer scenes have been shot for the pilot
and the promotional trailer that are scheduled to be released
this summer or early fall. We are working on scenes that are in
the Riche’s family kitchen setting.
Angelina confronts Roxy!
Pilot episodes are usually presented to limited audiences and to
critics, media, sponsors and distributors ahead of the actual
series. Ultimately the pilot represents what the actual typical
series would look like while introducing the characters and
settings.
Lorraine’s quarrels with her husband Steven
The pilot episode will actually be the first two one hour
episodes of the first week series. It’s important to present a full
week since each is a two part approach. The pilot will
introduce Kassandra Riches and her friends at Lakeside Manor
High school as a principle character. Then Angelina Parker
working at the mall coffee bar which is another principle
character.
The pilot episode script was completed at the end of 2010 after
the series was expanded from shorter 15 minute episodes to the
two hour episodes. The conversion makes the show go from
primarily an internet series to one that can go to broadcast
cable.
“We hope to finish recording the pilot episode scenes in July
and August with it premiering to the public in October later
this year.” Executive Producer Scott Shangle.

Lakeside Manor Star Tallis attends
Seattle’s Nathan Hale high school where
she just finished the 2010 fall soccer
season with the NH Raiders. Tallis plays
Kassandra Riches who plays soccer on
the Lakeside Manor High school
team.
Nathan Hale High school soccer captains, and twins, Haly and Keta Rylko
Nathan Hale Girls Soccer had been lead by the Famous Mike
Ryan for 3 years before he resigned because of health
problems. He accepted the Golden Scarf on the July 25th
Seattle Sounders game in 2010.
Tallis Radwick on the field for the Raiders
The Hale Girls Varsity team is now being coached by Woman
Sounders player M’ily Reiter. She is a Graduate of SU where
she played soccer for four years. Not only is she a tremendous
coach to us, she is also an amazing person. She developed
amazing relationships with each and every one of the players
on the team. No matter what their age, what their position, or
their personality. She had the ability to make each and every
one of us feel wanted and liked. At hale you can step onto the
soccer field and automatically feel at home. The Captains this
past year were not only two very accomplished soccer players,
but also very accomplished persons. Twins Keta Rylko and
Haly Rylko were the two senior Captains who lead the Raiders
though this season undefeated. Tallis had the opportunity to
play with them since she first stepped on the field when she
was seven years old. “Lake City Ravens” was the team that she
Tallis Radwick

played with all the way through grade school and into middle
school. Tallis say’s “There were six seniors on the team this
year and five of them played on the Ravens with me. Growing
up with these players has been so much fun, being able to play
with them has been an honor, but being able to be lead by them
their last year of high school has been a gift.”
Tallis’ sister Kelsey Radwick
Tallis sister Kelsey Radwick has played with her for as long as
she can remember. “She always pushes me to be more
competitive with myself and my teammates. This was my last
chance to play with her before she goes off to college. I hope
one day in the future we can get back on the field and run our
hearts out like we used to.” Tallis explained. “Our team as a
whole is very distinct. We have about five players from each
grade. In the junior class we have a pair of Identical twins.
Rachel Ivancic and Veronica Ivancic are the two fastest people
I have ever known. They both went to state for a relay in track.
They got 3rd
place! Not only are they amazing runners but
when you see them handle the ball they are as charismatic with
the ball as President Obama is with his words.”
Nathan Hale Identical twins Rachel and Veronica Ivancic
“So if you combine Rachel and Veronica, Haly and Keta,
myself and my sister Kelsey, we have three sets of sisters, and
two sets of twins. All of which have been playing with their
sibling since the beginning of their soccer career. Hale is a
much defined team. The memories we shared this year will
always be with us, as will the friendships us as players made. I
couldn’t have asked for a better soccer team or high school
experience this year. Luckily it’s not over yet!”

FALL PHOTO SHOOT
BRINGS OUT THE BEST OF
LAKESIDE MANOR CAST
RAIN AND FALL COLORS IS THE SETTING
Most of the cast and some key crew members at the Lakeside Manor fall photo shoot. The shoot was at Greenlake in Seattle in October 2010.
The fall photo shoot took place at Greenlake in North
Seattle with most of the cast participating. With a gentle rain
falling the fall setting was truly present but all were happy to
get their pix taken in fall clothing. Gene Wang got lots of
photos of stars Aly Chaffee and Tallis Radwick and got shots
of new cast member Phyniques Williams and Blythe Howard.
Dennis Tudor (Connor) and Michael Mahoney (Kevin) got in
their pictures taken as well. Scott Shangle was busy
coordinating the shoot and called the project a success and
likes the Greenlake location. Rayann Su helped directing the
talent. The shoot had hair and makeup artist Amelia Dray
giving our cast a great look for the camera. It’s got a lot of the
look and feel of Lakeside Manor in the fall season.
The Casting of Lakeside Manor
Aly Chaffee (Angelina) and Sandy Kang (Britta are reading through scripts during a test shot of cast members for appearing in Lakeside Manor.
So how did the cast of Lakeside Manor come together?
Chief Executive Producer Scott Shangle describes the process.
We didn’t have actual auditions we just found people that fit
the talents and roles that they would play and then put them on
camera to test to see what we had. Shangle describes three test
shoots with prospective cast members was conducted in July of
LAKESIDE MANOR STORY’S Behind the Scenes
2010. The test shoots were conducted in a Northgate office
that Shangle will not yet disclose.
The cast was found though Craigslist, network of
personal contacts and/or were already involved in the show.
Jennifer Razmus who stars as Taylor Hilton was the first
person to begin working on Lakeside Manor helping Scott
Shangle to write the show. She started working as an associate
writer in June of 2009 just alittle over a month after I had
started writing the show says Shangle. Jennifer was just perfect
for the role of Taylor. We were very conscious of that when we
were writing and developing Taylor. Aly came from the
Craigslist post in June of 2010 and she was quickly indentified
for the big role of playing Angelina Parker. Suzanne Su was
the sister of co producer Rayann Su, and Tallis Radwick was
friends of an acquaintance of Shangle who mentioned the show
and connected her with the show just as the show was starting
casting. She came at the right time where I could put some
additional significant parts into the show. When we started the
Craigslist the original plan was for Rayann to find the actresses
and Scott would find the actors but after we started getting
responses it ended up Scott would interview the actresses and
Rayann the actors.
Shangle describe the process as going better than
expected. The Seattle area has a big depth of actors at all levels
of the talent spectrum. It’s probably not quite New York or
certainly LA but it’s really good for a market this size. Test
shooting was a way to take a look at our actors and what their
potential was. Finding strengths and weaknesses which we can
write and have them play into their characters.
Co Producer Rayann Su fills in for a role while her sister Suzanne Su tests for her role as Stephanie Kwon.
The guys have been a bit more of a challenge to find
but Shangle explains that it’s probably because guys are not as
excited as girls when it comes to being in soap operas. Guys
that are young and are just starting to act want action movies
and comedies.
Aly Chafee tests for her role as Angelina Parker
Blythe Howard (Alicia) and Phyniques Williams
(Tunisia) are recently added cast members. They responded to
a second round of Craigslist ads we posted in October. We still
have a few guys and some misc roles to cast or finalize but I
think we got the whole cast that we need.
KASSANDRA AND CONNOR & THE
CREATION OF LORRAINE RICHES
WORK BEGANS ON PILOT SCENES
It was a wet Saturday on December 11, 2010 when part
of the cast and crew arrived to set up and tape scenes for the
pilot and promotional trailer. “The kitchen is awesome for
shooting these scenes” says Scott Shangle who directed the
shoot.
Makeup artist Krystle Corpus applies makeup to Actress Tallis Radwick preparing for her role as Kassandra while Heath Neptune figures out how to use oven mitts.
“This was as much a test shoot as anything else really as we
were bring Neptune into the shooting process for the first time.
We also were developing the Lorraine character both in look
and style.” Shangle explained.
A lot of stuff happens when shooting a project like
Lakeside Manor. The crew arrives hours before actual shooting
begins. Cameras need to be set up and lighting schemes
followed. Macintosh computers are used which are HDTV files
that will be later edited using Final Cut Pro or Sony Vega
software. Sets are decorated and props arranged while the cast
works with wardrobe specialist to dress and makeup and hair
personnel prepare them for the recording of scenes. Actors will
go over lines and discuss their roles in upcoming scenes. Then
actors began practicing scenes and working with the director to
block shots. Finally the process of recording takes begins hours
later. We are taking ten to fifteen takes per scene right now
because we are trying a lot of different things right now.
Radwick and Neptune go over lines while Director Scott Shangle and Director of Photography set up shots.
The process of developing the character Lorraine is the
most interesting part of this project where Tallis Radwick at
just 16 years old is transformed into her
mother! At almost forty year olds
Lorraine comes alive with the work of
makeup artist Krystle Corpus and
hairstylist Emi Parker making the look
happen.Shangle said that watching the
transformation was amazing. “These
people are awesome talents that have
definite futures as the talent technicians
that make magic happen.” We ended up
with Tallis looking so different friends
wouldn’t recognizing even when
talking to her. The key is now trying to figure her style. People
close to the project are going to see a lot of different looks
sounds and styles as we experiment with the character. She’s
going to be given a big Texas twang that will be softened by
the fact that she’s spent years up north in New York and then
in the Great State and in Lakeside Manor. We had so many
things to do at the shoot because of our ambitious schedule to
tape both Lorraine scenes and the Kassandra and Connor
scenes. We also did this with a small crew i.e. Shangle and
Wang doing everything in producing, directing and operating
the cameras. So it’s obvious that we are going to be re doing
most of this material but that’s what test shoots are for.

Dear Ms. M LAKESIDE MANOR
LOVE ADVICE
Dear Ms. M,
I am having a hard time figuring out what to do about my
boyfriend. We started going out just a few weeks ago but we
have already started doing stuff… Stuff I wouldn’t normally do
with a guy I have only been dating this long. He seems nice
and caring. He buys me flowers and jewelry and stuff. I have
gone out to dinner with my parents and his parents really like
me. But he is not into PDA at all! I love PDA. But the simple
things… like holding hands or him putting his arm around me
when we walk.. Why is he so willing to do stuff in private and
be kind…but not in public? He doesn’t talk too much either…
Sincerely,
Huh?
Dear Huh,
If you just started going out with your guy and already feel
comfortable doing “stuff” with him that’s a good sign.
However I would be careful with how much you are willing to
give away… Normally I would say that him buying you
flowers and jewelry is just a way to get you into bed… But if
he has already introduced you to his parents and gone out to
dinner with yours then he must have actual feelings for you. He
wouldn’t bother introducing you to them if he didn’t see some
sort of future with you. As for the PDA it’s fairly soon in your
relationship. I wouldn’t worry about it too much. What you can
do is show him what you like. Be the one to take action and
grab his hand or snuggle in with him when you sit down with
him. If he sees what you’re into he might be more open to it.
Dear Ms. M,
I’m confused why girls find it so important for guys to impress
their parents. I mean if I really like a girl and she really likes
me why should it care how her parents feel? Isn’t it about how
we feel? I forgot her dads name the other day and she blew up
at me. Why is it so important that I have to know what their
interested in? She wants me to do some of the same activities
they do but I’m not interested in them at all. What do I do?
LAKESIDE MANOR STORY’S Fan Magazine -ADVICE
Sincerely,
Why Change.
Dear Why Change,
Girls need their special someone’s to impress their parents
because they will not feel comfortable being with someone
whom is not accepted as a part of the family. Family is
normally a big deal and from what you described your girl is
very close to her family. The reason she got mad at you when
you forgot her dad’s name is because her dad is not only an
authority figure but also a really big part of her life. If you
forget the name of the person who raised her and gave her
everything she has it is a huge insult to her. It’s saying you
don’t care about him which says you don’t care about her. The
reason she wants you to do similar activities is because she
feels comfortable doing those things. What her parents did, she
did. If you are able to do those same activities she will be able
to see u more as a family member than a friend. Be open to
trying new things and memorize her parent’s names. If you do
that and use your pleases and thank you’s, you will be set.
Good luck!
Ms. M.
Dear Ms. M,
I think my girlfriend is cheating on me. I’m not sure
what I should do because I don’t want to confront her but I feel
like I need to. How can I do it in a way that’s not accusatory
but gets the point across that I’m concerned?
-Accusatory
Dear Accusatory,
In what way are you suspicious? Has she done something or
said something? If she said something to make you think she’s
hooking up with someone else, you could ask “Hey baby?
Have you ever thought about what it would be like to be with
another guy?” Now be careful here because she might think
you are implying YOU want to. Make it sound concerning. But
this way you won’t sound harsh. If she has DONE something
to make you concerned then take action right away. Don’t be
afraid to show your anxiety. That might show her how much
you care about her making her want to tell you the truth. But
don’t automatically assume she is telling the truth. She might
be prepared for that and found a way to work around it.

Lakeside Manor- The Place (cont from page 7)
It’s difficult to get a job these days in Lakeside Manor
particularly those you are under 30. Typical of other suburban
cities across America these days, Lakeside Manor’s
governments are cutting back too. Parks are left unmaintained
and libraries close early and on weekends.
The Lakeside Manor Mall is the main place where a lot
of people visit regularly. Finnerman’s Department store is the
main anchor tenant with a large store that’s very similar to a
Nordstroms. This is where Britta Kwon works. Angelina
Parker works at the Mall’s coffee shop next to Finnerman’s and
is a key hang out place were many meet up and where Britta
and Angelina converse on their break. Ambrosia secrets is the
higher end clothing store where Taylor Hilton and Stephanie
Kwon work in the mall.
Lakeside Manor High School is a newer and popular
high school that had a good reputation for academics and has
had lots sports success too. Kassandra Riches attends school
there with other friends that include Tunisia Clark and
Stephanie Kwon.
Nearby state parks and skiing in the mountains in
addition to water sports are all what makes Lakeside Manor a
nice place to live.
