There are many draws to life in LakeZurich. One of the main attractions is thearea itself, which spans over 250 beautifulacres. Some subdivisions have lake rightscomplete with piers, provided by theassociations, for residents’ boats. MIDWEST MOTORSBen Ripstein is a car enthusiast. Hispassion for luxury and exotic pre-drivenvehicles – and the void he found in thatsegment of the auto market – is whatprompted his decision to open MidwestMotors in 2009.

This former computer executive’sbusiness plan was in direct response towhat he experienced as a consumer. Hewas extremely dissatisfied with luxurydealers noticing flaws in vehicles andsaying, “Well, we can fix that.” Ripsteinthought, “Why fix it after-the-fact,when you can do it prior to sale?”

Prior to sale, Ripstein makes sure everycar he sells has all the books, a key and

floor mats. He also has every carrigorously inspected utilizing his ASEMaster Certified technicians, andexamines the paint using state-of-the-art equipment to detect for previous

paintwork. While most dealers justwash and glaze a car, Midwest Motorsoffers a concourse style detail that takesusually between one and two days toperform.

Shopping at Midwest Motors is not atypical car dealer experience. Theirapproach is more boutique style.Building long-term relationships withthe customers is the essence of theirculture. They like to spend time withtheir customers and get a feel for whatthey are really wanting in theirpurchase. “Most of these purchases areemotional. Our vehicles are not forbasic transportation. They are for pureenjoyment,” Ripstein noted.

Ripstein flies cross country to personallyfind what he considers to be the finestlate-model, low-mileage luxury andexotic vehicles. If you have a specialvehicle in mind he will search from coastto coast to deliver your dream vehicle.
