    All Classrooms across the District

    Teacher computer with standard educational and productivity softwareo Office productivity software & emailo K-12 gradebook and attendance packageo Inspiration & Kidspiration (mind-mapping & organizational software)o Photo and Video editing & creation softwareo Discovery Streaming content library (video and media)o CSCOPE curriculum accesso Eduphoria for all core teachers 3-12 to disaggregate student performance datao Online and digital textbooks, supplemental resources for all subject areas/gradeso Classroom website system, training, and support for every teachero Access to subscription services for research tools, maps, library resources, etc.o Dual video card so teacher can project and work on his/her screen simultaneously

    Ceiling projector and built-in cabling for easy connection & use Amplifier and speakers to amplify sound for a full classroom Document Camera to model and illustrate lessons, problem solving processes 6 network drops Telephone and voicemail, mainly communications with parents & office Network printers: max ratio of 4:1 classrooms to B/W network printer. 1 large color

    All students are provided unique logins, storage space, and access to learning portalresources (online textbooks, research databases, etc.) from grade 2-12. (Shared logins are

    used for K-1st

    grade students.)

    *Interactive Whiteboard* - District is @ 50% of the way to outfitting all classrooms witha SMART board for increasing student engagement and interactivity of lessons.

    Checkout equipment is available to classrooms on a shared, as needed basis (e.g.: videocameras, digital cameras, student response systems clickers, audio recorders, webcams)

    Many software applications are packaged and directly deployed as part of a coursecurriculum/materials, or published for teacher & student use/enrichment, as they choose:

    o Most of which are free and/or open source (e.g.: Google Earth & Sketchup Pro,Skype, Audacity, Moviemaker, Geometers Sketchpad)

    o Some are purchased and licensed (Autodesk, Revit, Adobe Photoshop, RosettaStone, Lexia reading support, Odysseyware credit recovery, for example)

    Broadcast system (network-based and mobile) to provide multimedia presentationcapabilities to students, teachers, and administrators, so they can share important

    information, collaborate, participate, and engage their campus through use of student-created and student-run broadcasts. Fulfills academic and citizenship goals as well as:

    public speaking, communication skills, leadership, team/culture building, etc.

    Remote access (via Virtual Private Networking VPN) is provided for all teachers toallow after hours, remote access all of their files and key applications.

    Specialty technologies, such as assistive technology devices, speech augmentationequipment and software, and diagnostic assessment tools are provided to support special

    needs students in all campuses.

    LTISD Educational Technology Specifications for Specific Grade Levels

    Elementary Classrooms

    Multiple student computers per classroom (2-3 depends on how teacher computer is used) 2 full class size computer labs 2 mobile laptop carts Reading assessment and analytical/reporting tools (K-2 primarily)

    Middle School Classrooms

    4 full class size computer labs (additional labs to support more use by Language Artsespecially, and also for technology-specific courses (e.g.: Digital Graphics)

    4 mobile laptop carts Live@Edu accounts and access for all students (online productivity & collaboration) Turnitin.com for online work submission and citation support

    High School Classrooms 1 full class size computer lab per department (ELA, Math, Science, Foreign Language)

    and labs for dedicated computer-based courses (e.g.: programming, engineering, etc.)

    2 full class size drop-in computer labs in library (available for extended hours beyondschool day)
