It’s been over a month since we have gone back to our school routine, back to days filled with homework, soccer practice, and music lessons. So, now is a good time to remind ourselves of just how ter- rific our summer was. Ask yourself, “What did you do on your summer vacation?” If you attended Lake Greeley Camp you could write a book answering that question. Let’s see, I was caught on the trapeze, went on a trail ride, attended play practice at the amphitheater, and was launched off the blob at the lake, and that was just my first day at camp! Even though it feels as if camp has just ended, here in Pennsylvania, the seasons have certainly changed. Summer has ended and Autumn has arrived. Lake Greeley Camp is hardly recognizeable. There is a desire to linger, catch our breath, and enjoy what we just completed, to relive the moments that made the summer so amazing. But now is not the time to reminisce, after all, summer is nearly 260 days away! 2015 will undoubtedly be a year filled with scientific dis- coveries, epic sporting events, and historic milestones. Regardless of how significant these events may be, there will be no date of greater importance than Saturday, June 27th, because that is the day Lake Greeley Camp opens its gates for the summer. We have made several changes to our 2015 camp sched- ule that are worth pointing out. The first change you will notice is that our summer has gotten longer. Our 2015 camp season is 56 days, a true 8-week season. For those of us who love summer camp, this is outstanding news! In addition to a longer season, each camp session will begin on a weekend, the First Half session is 29 days, the Second Half session is 27, and the two Visiting Days have been scheduled between the end and beginning of our 13/14-day sessions. The dates of the Visiting Days are Saturday, July 11th (First Half) and Saturday, August 8th (Second Half). As the saying goes, all good things must come to an end, and so Lake Greeley Camp’s season will regettably come to a close on Friday, August 21st. Now that the 2015 schedule has been made public, you can begin counting down the days until June 27th! Al- though, I probably wouldn’t start packing just yet.
