April 16th Shoot Report A sunny Easter Sunday enticed fifty five shooters out to Lake Bonney for the Herb
Whitehead Fencing,Dave Reilly’s Panel & Paint,Thirty Three Hairdressing and J&M Shanks
Engineering 50 Target event. The five stand format proved to continue to be popular with
competitors providng a varied combination of targets testing everybodies shooting skills.
Course setters were able to set a course that saw shooters from all grades shooting above
their handicaps, this meant a lot of happy faces at the end of the day.
Lake Bonney Sporting Clays Side By Side Shoot 75 Target Off the Gun
Saturday May 20th
Door Prize 3 CASH Draws To be eligible for shoot and door prizes ALL targets must be shot with Side By Side.
Shooters must be present for draw to win cash prizes.
Joe Densley had a great day out only dropping one target all day, 49/50 was a great score to
secure high gun for the event. President and sponsor Herb Whitehead presented Joe with a
club 25 badge along with the prizes for High Gun.
AA shooters, Jeremy Kent, Danny Bellinger and Mark Fabris followed closely behind with
only a target between each of the them.
Daniel Banning shot well to finish first in A grade fromn Herb Whitehead and Tom Weir.
Winning was certainly in the family with Danile’s uncle Gary Banning shooting the same
score as Daniel, 46/50 to win B grade, while Jon Prance and Cliff Lee battled for second and
third in a shoot off. Jon shot well to win and was happy to end up with second prize. C grade
continues to be a tight competition between a small group of shooters, Graham Fennell was
victorious this time winning with a 40/50 ahead of Michale Gates and Doug Rohde.
Barry Hill was on target shooting 47/50 to win Veterans from rivals Wayne Gurney and
Neville Kent.
Super vets Kevin Dyson, Peter Caskey and Greg Todd thanked the course setters for a great
day out.
No suprises in the ladies competition with Tash Bellinger first and Janette Densley second
both ladies are enjoying a friendly competition each week. Vicki Fabris was third.
Junior Mason Patzel and Brodie VonStanke were happy with their scores btoh enjoying the
day out with their grandfathers.
Lake Bonney will be hosting a charity shoot on Sunday May 21st supporting the Variety
Children’s Charity. Local member Ian Lister will have his Variety Bash Car on display and the
club will be offering a number of opportunites for shooters and spectators to donate to the
charity. Afternoon plates will be on sale along with a BBQ tea with the meat being donated
by sponsor Goodnwindi Charloais. An auction of goods will also follow the presetnations,
members and club supporters and encouraged to come along and help support this great
charity. The annual side by side 75 target will be held on Saturday May 20th three cash
draws will be on offer for those who shoot all day with their favourite side by side , seeing
another busy week-end for committee and competitors alike. Sunday is also the first leg of
the Lake Bonney /Burrungule club challenge , the second leg of the challenge will be the
following week-end a 50 target at Burrungule on May 28th . Shooters are reminded to
nominate for the Limestone Coast Sporting 225 3 day event in June, 3 Miroku shotguns are
up for prizes and will be awarded to the Handicap High Gun winner on each day of the

For a shooters handicap to increase it is calculated over 400 targets.
