What is Big Brothers/Big Sisters

A mentoring organization that provides a one-to-one

match with adult volunteers and children ages 6-14,

primarily from single-parent homes.

Mentoring Works!

Who was that special person, other than a parent, who

brought a little magic into your life? BIGS are that

person for a child, creating wonderful memories for

their LITTLES and themselves.

mentors for every Child in the Lake Area that needs one!

46% less likely to begin using drugs

27% less likely to consume alcohol

52% less likely to skip school

33% less likely to engage in violent behavior

Lake BBBS averages $700 annual costs per Match

90% funding goes to program costs for Matches
