PCYC Hornsby They were released! PCYC’S Time 4 Kids raises awareness for their work with young offenders and young people ’at risk’. Detained in a portable jail cell under the supervision of Police Officers Drew and Scott had to raise bail for PCYC in exchange for their freedom . $549 was raised on their behalf and donated to PCYC.

Laing+Simmons | Beyond the expected

Grants and Concessions—What is Available

First Home Owner Grant (New Home) Scheme :

First home buyers who purchase or build a new home, or purchase a home to demolish (not live in) and

rebuild, are eligible for the $15,000 NSW government grant. Value of the property capped at $650,000.

The grant will then be reduced to $10,000 from 1 January 2016 with no end date set.

First Home – New Home Scheme:

Eligible first home buyers who purchase a new home or vacant land on which to build their new home are

also given exemptions or concessions on stamp duty by the NSW government.

Stamp duty exemptions – on homes valued up to $550,000 (a saving of up to $20,240) and on vacant land

valued up to $350,000 (a saving of up to $11,240)

Stamp duty concessions – on homes valued between $550,001 and $649,999 and on land valued between

$350,001 and $499,999. You can calculate the exact amount of your concession using the First Home –

New Home calculator on OSR’s website – www.osr.nsw.gov.au/benefits

NSW New Home Grant Scheme

Available to all purchasers, the scheme provides a grant of $5,000 towards the purchase of new homes,

homes off the plan and vacant land on which a new home will be built. For purchasers to be eligible for the

grant, the value of the new home must not exceed $650,000 and the value of the vacant land must not ex-

ceed $450,000. There are no restrictions on the number of times a purchaser can apply for the grant, but

the grant is not available for the purchase of an existing home to knock down and rebuild, or for transac-

tions that are eligible under the FHOG (New Home) Scheme or for duty exemption/concession under the

First Home – New Home scheme.
