SCADA ManagementInTouch• Tag oriented
• Duplicate graphics & then change tag reference.
System Platform• Template/Object
oriented• References/Graphics
auto-generated.
20
• Simple drawing tools• Basic lines, shapes,
and colors.
• Advanced drawing tools• Unlimited shapes,
textures, and colors.• Change deployment
• Go out to each workstation.
• Centralized deployment• Deploy any changes
from the office.

Historian ManagementInTouch• Tag oriented
• Created tags would be historizedindividually.
System Platform• Template/Object
oriented• History attribute
inherited.
23
• Historian Redundancy• 3rd party software
required.
• Historian Redundancy• Included in System
Platform.

LTP SCADA Alarm Viewer
Alarm ManagementInTouch• Tag oriented
• Created tags would be designated as alarms individually.
System Platform• Template/Object
oriented• Alarm attribute
inherited.
25
• Alarm Groups• Each workstation
managed alarms.
• Centralized Alarming• Alarming managed
by the Galaxy.• Nuisance Alarms
• Hard to troubleshoot and often caused by comm. errors.
• Nuisance Alarms• Can be temporarily
“shelved” for up to 12 hours.
