To qualify for English 7 Advanced, a student must
demonstrate above grade level reading and writing
performance as measured by the following:
The student must score 1186 or higher on one SRI, which
represents advanced eighth grade reading level.
The student must earn an overall score of 4 (standard
exceeded) on the ELA SBAC, with a score of 3 (above
standard) on each of the claims/areas (Reading, Writing,
and Research Inquiry).

qualifies for our Reading Skills class.
Reading Skills class utilizes Read 180 and System 44-
proven to improve student lexiles.
