Lafarge Lay-in Suspended Ceilings:Suspended ceilings are ideal for concealing unsightly services and/or untidystructuralelementsincommercialbuildings,whilealsoprovidinggoodinsulationandanaesthetically-pleasingfinish.

Lafarge Gypsum’s suspended ceilings provide an elegant, yet simple and cost-effectivesolution.Ceilingheightsmaybevaried,whileremainingwithinspecification.In addition, performance specifications aremet through the selection of themostappropriategradeofceiling tileand insulation.Oursuspendedceilingsarequicklyand easily assembled on-site, using a versatile range of standardised componentsmanufacturedfromgalvanisedmaterialwithwhitecapped-faceexposedsections.

Lafarge Ceiling Grids:Lafarge Gypsum offers two exposed face ceiling grid size solutions and oneplastergrid(concealed)sizeoption.

Thesuspendedceilinggrid,inclusiveof3600mmmaintees,togetherwith1200mmand600mmcross tees in24mmand35mm facealternatives, is anexposed-faceteesystem,manufacturedfromgalvanisedsteel,cappedacrosstheexposedface.

Theplastergrid,inclusiveof3600mmmainteesand1200mmcrossteesina35mmknurledface,concealedsystemmaybecladwith9mm,12mmor15mm

Lafarge Vinyl Ceiling Tiles:LafargeGypsum’srangeof9mmand12mmplasterboardceilingtilesareidealfortoday’smodernbuildingdecoration.

Thesehigh-quality,light-weightceilingtiles–withvinyllaminate–arequicktoinstall,easytomaintainandareavailableinsquare-edge,1200x600and600x600lay-inceilinginstallations.LafargeGypsum’sceilingtilesaremanufacturedfromqualityplasterboardandwhencombinedwithourGridlockceilinggrid, this tileapproachdeliversanaestheticallypleasingceilingsolution.Althoughourvinylceilingtilesdonotrequirepainting,itisimperativethatthesupportingstructurebeaccurateandsoundtoensureahighstandardofceilingfinish.Acomplete rangeoffixingaccessories,includingceilingteesandhold-downclipsisalsoavailable.

Suspended Fixed Plasterboard Ceilings:Lafarge Gypsum’s 6,4mm, 9mm and 12mm options may be used for theseapplicationsandallaredependentonspecificrequirements.Plasterboardceilingsolutions,whichmeetstringentperformancestandards,whilebeingverypleasingtotheeye,offerasimple,quickandcost-effectiveanswerforbothnewbuildingsandrefurbishmentprojects.

Steel Brandering and Direct Fixed Timber: LafargeGypsum’ssteelbranderinghasbeendesignedasanalternativetotimberbranderingandistypicallyutilisedfordomesticapplications.

Plasterboardmaybeattacheddirectly to theundersideof thesteelbranderingwhichis,itself,suspendedfromtimberjoistsandtiebeamsusingsteelsuspensionbrackets. Fixing is simpleand theend resultprovidesa smoothfinish forfinaldecoration.

The plasterboard, too, may be given a textured finish to further enhance theaestheticsofthecompletedceiling.

Thesteelbranderingapproachiscost-effective,eco-friendly,ensuresstraightnessandalevelfinishandiseasilyinstalled.Inaddition,plasterboardceilingsprovidetheopportunitytoupgradebasicneworexistingceilingconstruction,improvingoveralllooks,insulationandsoundabsorption.

parTiTiON SOluTiONSLafargeGypsum’sfixedandremountablepartitionsystemsareidealforresidentialandcommercialbuildingprojects.

They are light, easy to handle and quick and simple to install. The range ofspecificationoptionsalsodeliver superioracousticand insulationqualitiesandarefire-resistantforupto120minutes.

Being dimensionally accurate, Lafarge Gypsum’s partitions, when fixed tospecification, are stable and offer the opportunity of fixing service within thecavity,includingpowerskirtingoptions.

Lafarge Fixed Partitions:Lafarge Gypsum Drywall is a light-weight, non-demountable partition systemdevoidofvisiblejointswhencomplete.

The internal framework comprises standard ridgeback stud and drywall trackprofiles, manufactured from galvanised steel. Tapered-edge plasterboard isscrew-fixed to thestuds,allowing forplaster jointinganddecoration followinginstallation.

Theplasterboardisheldinpositionatthebasebyskirtingandfixedtothesteelframeworkwith25mmdrywallscrews.Ininstanceswherethepartitionisinstalledbeneathaplasteredceiling,galvaniseddrywalltrackisusedtoaffixthepartitiontotheceiling.

Aluminiumtrimprofiles,doorsandwindowscanalsobeeasily installed inthispartitioningsystem.

Either paint or wallpaper finishes may be applied to Lafarge Gypsum’s fixedpartitions,creatingfinishesofexactingquality.

Lafarge Finesse Re-locatable Partitions:TheLafargeFinesseRe-locatablePartitionSystem,createdtoaccommodatetherequirementsofthemosttechnologically-advancedofficeenvironment,providesforunprecedentedfreedominplanningtheoptimumwork-placeandmaximisingtheuseofavailablefloorspace.

Thesystem’sin-builtflexibilityfreesdesignersfromtherestraintsofothersystemsandprovidesforeasyadaptationoradjustment,asrequired.

This single system may be utilised to introduce both full-height and low-levelpartitionsinthedesignofwork-stations.

At a time when organisations are constantly evaluating and improving theiroperations and, with this, their staff and office environments, the LafargeFinesseRe-locatablePartition system is theperfect foil for thedesignofworkenvironmentsofdifferentstyles,basedonsound,limitedfire-rating,privacyandspaceconsiderations.

The system, with its superb detailing and fine finishes, is easily installed andfully re-locatable in component form, while all unsightly electrical, data andcommunication cables remain hidden from view within the partition’s innercavities, or placed in especially-designed power skirting at the base of thepartitionsystem.

LafargeGypsumpridesitselfnotonlyonthereliabilityandeffectivenessofitsfireprotectionsystems,butalsothedrywalladvantage,whichmakesthesesystemsmore economical and practical to install on-site than alternative constructionmethods. Our extensive range of fire protection products and systems hasundergone exhaustive testing and has been refined again and again to meetbroadandexactingregulatorystandards.

Allourplasterboardshaveagypsumcore,enjoyingpositivespread-of-flametestresults. Indeed,LafargeGypsumPlasterboardsystemsarecapableofachievingfireresistanceofbetween30and120minutes.

Ininstanceswherehighlevelsoffireprotectionarerequired,LafargeGypsum’sFirecheckPlasterboardofeither12,5mmor15mmthickmaybespecified.

Lafarge Firecheck Plasterboard contains exfoliated vermiculite and fibreglassstrandswithinthegypsumcore,increasingfireresistance,andisdifferentiatedbyitscoveringofpinkpaperliner.

Itisavailablein12,5mmand15mmthicknessesandisrecommendedforuseinareaswhereadditionalfire resistance is required, suchaskitchens, recordandfilingrooms,fireescapesandforspecifiedofficepartitions.

mOiSTurE SOluTiONSLafarge Moisture Check Plasterboard:

Lafarge Moisture-Resistant Plasterboard is the perfect solution for ‘wet’ areaapplication, such as bathrooms, showers, kitchens and protected externallocations.Thisplasterboard,linedonbothsideswithahighly-distinctiveandeasilyrecognisedgreenwaterrepellentpaper,isespeciallywell-suitedtoutilisationinareasrequiringtheapplicationofceramicwalltiles.However,itisnotappropriateforprotectionagainstcontinualdamp,orasabaseforcementrendering.

Containing silicone within the gypsum core, Lafarge Moisture-ResistantPlasterboard comes in a range of sizes. Two thickness options are available,12,5mmandthenewlyintroduced15mm,whilelengthsvarybetween2700mm,3 000mm and 3 600mm, all are 1 200mm wide.The 15mm plasterboard isregarded as stronger than its counterpart and should be used in verticalapplications only. It is particularly suitable for utilisation in tandem with steelframe construction.These plasterboards are, however, unsuitable for usage intemperaturesabove52°Candmaynotbe subjected to freezing temperatures,withouttheriskofdamage.

Lafarge Acoustic Ceilings are excellent for improving sound absorption in,especially,commercialapplications,suchasauditoriums,concerthalls,conferencefacilities,schoolsandlargeopenceilingareasinhotels.Althoughacousticfactorsare not regarded as critical for use in domestic buildings, the installation ofacousticceilingsinhometheatreswouldalsoenhancesound.

This high-performance square-pattern perforated gypsum board system isaestheticallyappealing,aswellashavingsuperioracousticqualities,providinganoisereductionco-efficientofupto0,60.

Aprotectiveglassmat,gluedtothebackoftheboard,preventsdustemission,makes installationaneasyone-stepprocessandassimpleas thatofstandardsystems.
