My name is Lærke Ellegaard, I’m 25 years old.

I’ve just completed my third year as textile designer with print as my specially, at De-signskolen Kolding. I am excited to experience the real world after 3 years of studies.

I’m hoping that I will be able to bring a new and exciting input to your company. Beyond print, I like reshaping and change of existing materials. I’m focused on differ-ent elements in my work ranging from: humor, 3D, colors to patterns. I wish to learn more about the established industry and I see it as a point of strength to have future contacts in other countries.

Beyond the Designskolen Kolding I’ve studied 6 months in Japan at a school called Kavashima Textile School (school for textile design and handcrafts) and a year at Krabbesholm Højskole were I was at the departments Industrial & Graphical Design. In 2004 I was at an internship with textile designer Tina Ratzer in Copenhagen.

I love to be effective and I work excellent both by myself and in teams. My primary competencies are an inexhaustible idea deposit. And create and fabricate the final idea at a high technical and aesthetic level.

Socially I’m an outgoing and open minded person that like to be a part of an environ-ment where there’s allot going on and I value a good working environment highly. I’m used to working with a deadlines and I thrive with project oriented work.

Some of the competencies a textile designer has and those that I have learned in my studies are understanding color and material, composition and proportions, processing of inspiration, generating and developing ideas and last but not least understanding the trends and currents of the fashion and interior industry.

Understanding shapes compared to textiles, what impact textiles has on clothing and other objects, the way textile can highlight and let at piece of clothing become some-thing special and of great quality and critical consideration of a finest product and constructive analysis.

Styling and photo shoots are also a part of the experience I’ve gained during my studies, and I have several years of experience in working with programs as Adobe Photoshop ( 8 years), Illustrator (4 years) and InDesign (1,5 year), beyond textiles I´ve been working with draping and making patterns and I like to combine shape and textile.

Included is my CV and portfolio.

I seek an internship starting around the 1st of February. I’m very much looking for-ward to hearing from. I will gladly answer any questions you might have.I am available for interview, were I would be happy to show you a larger part of my work.

I really hope that you can see a person like my in your business and I’m excited about the future sparkling collaboration between us.

Yours sincerely Lærke Ellegaard 4th year textile student at Designskolen Kolding, Denmark [email protected] phone: +45 61272920
