There is well known and constantly being repeated boring – MANTRA, that :

„It is much easier to determine costs associated with SDIs implementaions,than the benefits. Costs are much more better documented than benefits”

If I would accept that – talking on this subject would be boring.So I have tried another approach.

Regardless of frequent repetition of this mantra, progress of SDI implementation proceeds, costs seem to grow, and what about the benefits ?

How does it all relates to Information Society „Buzzword” ?What are other important trends and dependancies ?How all this is connected to Global, European, National & Regional Economies ?Does it all matters in view of coming second wave of Global Finacnial Crisis ?Regardless of the answers each of us needs to have her/his own answer…

Polish Law on National Infrastructure of Spatial Information

of March 4th, 2010, acting from June 7th, 2010 estimates

expenditures of c.a. 650 million PLN in time frame of 2010-2019

650 million PLN = 165,78 m euro / 10 years = 16, 58 meuro / year

so purely at national level estimated annual cost in 16,58 meuro.
