• All chemicals in the laboratory are to be considered dangerous.

• Do not taste or smell any chemicals.

Handling Equipment•Never handle broken glass with your bare hands. Tell your teacher.

•Make sure your hands are dry before touching a plug.

Animals•Always treat living things with respect.

•Make sure you wash your hands after handling an animal.•Remember; all animals can bite, particularly if mistreated.

ACCIDENTS

• Report any accident (spill, breakage, etc.) or injury (cut, burn, etc.) to the teacher immediately, no matter how small it seems. 

• Do not panic.

Waste Disposal

• Never pour anything down the drain unless you are told to do so.

• Hazardous chemicals down the drain can lead to pollution of ground water, lakes, and rivers.
