OUR STONES 100 % Guaranteed Environmentally Friendly, Conflict Free
Eco diamonds are conflict free, eco-friendly IGI or GCAL certified diamonds that are physically, optically and chemically the same as naturally mined diamonds. Through an advanced chemical process, eco diamonds are grown in a carefully controlled laboratory environment where they are then cut, polished, and laser inscribed with a lab-grown stamp, so you never have to worry about what kind of stone you are getting. Each eco diamond, like a naturally mined diamond varies in cut, color, clarity and carat, allowing you to make the choice that is right for you. When you purchase an eco diamond you will also receive its IGI or GCAL certification so you can feel confident about your unique lab created stone.
ECO GEMSTONESEco Diamond even offers additional choices for ethically sourced gemstones. Our laboratories produce beautiful, man-made colored gemstones to accent or star in your piece of jewelry. Like Eco Diamonds, our Eco Gemstones are chemically identical to their mined counterparts, giving you a guilt-free, equivalent pop of gorgeous color from rubies, to sapphires and more. Contact customer service for quotes based on the size, color and cut of gemstone you'd like for your piece.
ECO DIAMOND
CHOOSING AN ECO DIAMOND Carat, Color, Clarity and Cut
CARATThe size of an Eco Diamond is measured by carat weight, not by dimensions. Eco Diamonds of equal weight may appear slightly different in size depending on their depth and proportions. You may also often see millimeter sizes associated with carat weights, which is a measure of the length and width of the top or surface of the Eco Diamond. Carat weight is the number one factor in determining a price.
COLORThe color of an Eco Diamond actually refers to its lack of color or the whiteness of the diamond. Eco Diamonds with the least amount of color will have the most value. Eco Diamonds range in color from D to K with a very small quantity being in the Faint Yellow range. All diamonds however, range in color from D to Z with D being colorless and Z being light yellow. If you are looking to have a colorless Eco Diamond then you will want to purchase one in the D to F range, but if you are looking for an Eco Diamond with great value and little or no noticeable color to the naked eye, purchasing an Eco Diamond in the near colorless range from G to I is the way to go.
CHOOSING AN ECO DIAMOND Carat, Color, Clarity and Cut
CLARITYAn Eco Diamond’s
clarity is measured by the existence, or absence of visible flaws. Surface blemishes or internal inclusions, even those
only seen under magnification can alter the brilliance of an Eco Diamond and affect its
value.
CUTOften a misconception, cut does not refer to the
shape, but rather the symmetry of the Eco-Diamond.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONSInformation You Would Still Like to Know
How is an Eco Diamond Different than A Naturally Mined Diamond?
The two biggest differences between an eco diamond and a naturally mined diamond are where they come from. As in the name, mined diamonds come from the earth. Although there are processes put in place to ensure eco-friendly, conflict free mining, these processes often fail due to corrupt governments. Our eco diamonds are created in a laboratory and will never make you question your conscience because they are guaranteed both conflict-free and eco-friendly. Our eco diamonds, unlike mined diamonds are superbly cut and polished to produce the stone’s ultimate beauty, regardless of carat weight. Eco diamonds provide exceptional value and will cost you about 25% less than a naturally mined stone of the same cut, color clarity and carat.
How is an Eco Diamond Different than a Simulant?
An eco diamond is lab created, but it is not "fake" nor simulated the way cubic zirconia or other simulants are classified. For many years the label "synthetic" was used when describing created or man-made diamonds, however, since lab grown or lab created diamonds share every desireable property that mined diamonds posess, (optically, chemically and physically, they are identical), the Federal Trade Commission has ruled that lab diamonds, such as our eco diamonds are truly diamonds in every way and the label "synthetic" is inaccurate and misleading. The eco diamond offers couples a beautiful, ethical and responsible diamond option with the added bonus of being less costly than mined diamonds.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONSInformation You Would Still Like to Know
How do Lab Created Gemstones compare to mined gemstones?
Why aren't all Eco Diamonds and lab created gemstones flawless? Often customers ask why Eco Diamonds and lab created gemstones aren't all flawless. They're made in carefully controlled laboratory settings, so why isn't each one perfect - not to mention identical to all the others created. While simulants are made up of elements and minerals that sometimes behave differently than the natural minerals found in gemstones, lab created diamonds and gemstones use the same chemical composition that is found in nature, and these chemicals and minerals often have a mind of their own! The pure carbon make-up of our eco diamonds reacts the same way the pure carbon does in nature. You're going to see a variety of color and clarity combinations since our lab created eco diamonds are pure carbon - just like mined diamonds!
Lab created gemstones offer all of the same properties that their mined counterparts possess. This is due to the fact that lab created gemstones are made using the same chemical make-up that is found in the same gemstones as they naturally occur. For example, rubies are made up of the mineral corundum. When we create rubies in the lab, they're made up of corundum too and share the same optical, physical and chemical properties of mined rubies - including a solid measurement of 9 on the Mohs' Scale of Relative hardness.
THE METALS WE USEPopular Eco Friendly Metals
Our gold settings offer wonderful color and brilliant luster. Each of these settings are
available in 10K, 14K, or 18K white or yellow or 14K rose gold. Since pure gold is too soft
for use in jewelry, it is often mixed with other alloy metals such as copper and zinc to give it
that hardness or durability. K which stands for karats, measures the proportion of gold mixed with these alloy metals, thus a higher karat of gold means a higher proportion of gold and will be more expensive. The most
popular type of gold chosen for our settings is 14K white gold. However, the type of gold you
choose should be based on style preference. For example, if you are drawn to cooler hues
and silver-toned jewelry, then white gold is the way to go. But, if you tend to gravitate towards warmer tones then you should choose yellow
or rose gold. If you are choosing a ring for your boyfriend or girlfriend, it’s important to
pay attention to what they wear.
GOLD SILVERAt Eco Diamond we only use sterling silver for all of our silver jewelry. Sterling silver is the standard for high-quality silver jewelry
because it consists of 92.5 percent silver and 7.5 percent copper, which improves the metal’s hardness and durability to ensure the jewelry
will withstand regular use. Sterling Silver is most popular for jewelry which can be worn both casually and formally, making it very
versatile. Sterling silver doesn’t have as much rarity and thus costs less.
THE METALS WE USEPopular Eco Friendly Metals
Platinum is one of the strongest and heaviest metals in the world, and is considered the most precious of all jewelry metals. Platinum jewelry
appeals to many people because of its elegant understatement, subtle beauty, and
hypoallergenic qualities. For metal to be labeled as platinum, it must have a minimum platinum purity of 95%, anything less needs to be labeled as platinum alloy. Compared to
gold, platinum is significantly more expensive due to its rarity and pureness. At Eco Diamond we only use platinum with a purity of 95% or
950 platinum for our settings.
PLATINUMPalladium is a platinum group metal and
thus is also extremely rare. It takes on many similar qualities as that of platinum such as be-ing hypoallergenic, its purity, and strength, but
is less dense, making it less expensive. At Eco Diamond we only use 950 palladium,
which like platinum is 95% pure.

BENEFITS OF ECO FRIENDLY METALS
Recycling precious metals does not lead to degradation in quality of the precious metal
It eliminates harm of the earth’s surface from mining
Recycling precious metals does not need the use of cyanide. Cyanide is used in mining for
gold extraction and is highly toxic to both humans and animals
DIAMOND SHAPESWhich One is Right for Her
ROUND BRILLIANTThe round brilliant cut is the most popular of all diamond shapes as well as the most popular cut for solitaire engagement rings. Like in the name it contains a circular shape, with unsurpassed brilliance and sparkle. The round brilliant does cost more on a per carat basis, due to the fact that there is such high demand for it but a lower supply.
PRINCESSThe princess cut is a fancy square cut diamond, with pointed corners. This cut is the closest of all the square cuts to achieving the fire and brilliance of a round cut diamond. The princess cut diamond is said to be very flattering on a hand with long fingers.
EMERALDThe emerald cut is a fancy cut diamond, rectangular in shape with step cuts. An emerald cut is gener-ally not as bright or fiery as a round brilliant cut stone, but instead accentuates the diamonds clarity, whiteness and lustre. The emerald cut is a very elegant cut, perfect for antique rings, giving off that antique, art-deco feel. The pear cut is a fancy cut diamond combining the shape of both the oval and marquise diamond cuts. The pear cut has similar brilliance and sparkle to the round cut diamond, but shows off color the strongest. Like the marquise or oval cut, the pear cut makes the finger of the person wearing it appear longer and slimmer. The pear cut is perfect for pendants and earrings.
PEAR
RADIANTThe radiant cut is a fancy cut diamond, which combines the elegance of an emerald cut but the bril-liance of a round cut diamond. The radiant cut diamond is a perfect choice for solitaire rings, or rings with accent stones. If you do choose a ring with accent stones, the radiant cut looks beautiful set with rounded or princess cut diamonds.
MARQUISEThe marquise cut is a fancy brilliant cut diamond, with an elongated slender look and tapered points on each end. The marquise cut appears larger than a round brilliant cut of the same carat weight and makes the finger of the person wearing it appear longer and slimmer. It is important that the marquise cut maintains symmetry, meaning that the end points should align with each other. The marquise cut looks great in a solitaire setting and is the type of stone that stands out.
CUSHION The cushion cut is a fancy cut diamond, square in shape with rounded corners. It uses larger faceted techniques that resemble a pillow shape, which increases brilliance, the brightness of a diamond or its sparkle. It is a little less brilliant than a round cut diamond but has more fire or light that reflects out in a rainbow of color. The cushion cut diamond is said to be an antique style cut with a soft or roman-tic feel, giving it that modern yet traditional look. It looks nice in almost every style of engagement ring and is a popular shape for fancy colored diamonds.

HOW TO MEASURE1. Cut a strip of paper or piece of string and wrap it around the finger to measure.
Keep in mind that fingers tend to swell later in the day, which is the best time to measure them, and that each finger will be different. Once you have the strip of paper wrapped around
the finger, mark the overlap point with a pencil.
2. Measure the length and use a chart for sizing info. Note: If she already has a ring take it without herknowing and have it sized by a jeweler, this will give you your best measurement.
