The story dates back to the time of the Roman occupation in Dacia, during an eclipse of the sun.

      It is said that the sun, seeing the joy people wanted to join them. So, decided to descend to Earth taking a young face and take part in the celebration.

La leyenda data de la época de la ocupación romana en Dacia, durante un eclipse de sol.Cuentan que el sol, viendo la felicidad de la gente, quiso unirse a ella. Así que decidió descender a la Tierra con apariencia joven y tomar parte en la celebración.

Pero la felicidad duró poco, fue capturado y hecho prisionero.

But his happiness was short as a kite kidnapped and imprisoned.

La gente estaba muy triste porque no había sol.Los pájaros no cantaban, los niños no eran felices, y los ríos no corrían.Pero todavía nadie se quería enfrentar al dragón, hasta que un día, un joven guerrero llegó a esas tierras y decidió luchar contra el dragón.

People were very sad because there was no sun.    The birds do not sing, the children were not happy, and not flowing rivers.       But still, no one dared to confront the dragon, until, one day, a young warrior arrived on those lands and decided to fight the dragon.

            Él buscó por tres estaciones: verano, otoño e invierno hasta que encontró el castillo.

Ya en el castillo, el poderoso dragón luchó durante cuatro días, y finalmente murió.

He searched kite three seasons: summer, autumn and winter until he found the palace.

Arriving at the palace, mighty dragon fought for days and finally, the dragon was killed.

Finalmente, el valiente soldado, agotado, con su último aliento, liberó al sol, que inmediatamente empezó a brillar, trayendo la primavera de vuelta a la tierra. Desafortunadamente, el valiente soldado murió antes de poder ver la primavera.            

Finally, the brave warrior, exhausted, with the last power, freed sun, which immediately began to shine, bringing spring back into the world. Unfortunately, the brave warrior died before he could see the spring.

Desde entonces, se da a las chicas o parientes, un cordón con una trenza roja y blanca. El rojo recuerda la sangre roja del valiente caballero y el blanco es el símbolo de la salud y la pureza de una campanilla de febrero, la primera flor de la primavera

Since then, young white with red braid a cord gives you cute girls or relatives, red color reminiscent of warm blood of brave warrior and white as a symbol of health and purity snowdrop, first flower of spring.
