What Is Identity?

* The identity, defined primarily from psychology, understood as that which

conforms core self. This is a fixed core and consistent with reason will enable humans to interact with

other individuals present.

According to some authors, the identity as relative behaves like a plastic core can change over the life and development, which would allow human beings to have the ability to comportante different ways depending on the context in which it must act.

As it is possible to intuit, the sociocultural context in which the individual is embedded is critical and decisive in the formation of their identity. However, it is not the only factor that determines it. Human identity is formed from the interaction with the environment and the individual performance of the subject itself, forming between them a dynamic tension that drives the configuration of identity in a certain direction. Because of this it is possible that human beings are able to notice, that beyond what it is, is part of a slightly larger outside himself.

*Humans have never had so many friends, especially if we look at our facebook page. Surely we do not know how is called the neighbor of the fifth and not even the next door, but we can see hundreds of channels on our TV and we can communicate instantly with people around the world. Share knowledge, pictures, music and information but very often the difference prevails over similarity, which is the part of the human race. The speed of globalization has caused the need for identity, the need to belong to something like uniformity reaction to globalization.?? Identity is the sum of all that we are, what we receive from our families, our countries and we've added along our experience, travel, friends, partners, countries that have visited or in whichh we have lived.

* The first problems come when our process leads us to be different, to not be like most. The streets of our cities are too much, the same shops, the same cars, the same clothes. You can not see a person under such uniformity. Migration has changed the human landscape, our daily relationships put us in contact with people from other countries, in other languages , and we put our differences insecurity.? Elements of our identity we are given at birth are minimal, some physical, sex ... not even those elements are fixed. Not the same being a woman in Kabul than in Oslo.?? Then comes the learning process, our families shape us, we teach beliefs, rituals and attitudes, and give us a language. The school, the street, friends, give the next layer to our identity and begin the first wounds. I look fat or thin or too dark or too blond, and they form the many differences that make up our personalities. It is forging a way of being that is going to be tested during the different stages of life.
