Our letter to the queenTo your majesty Queen Isabella,Because of the major problems in South America we recommend to change some important things to improve the situation. These are:• send just healthy men on adventures to the new land so they can’t bring any more diseases to the natives• pay the workers at least with food or fresh water• open some free hospitals for the sick natives• teach the natives skills to make their life easier (e.g. raise cattle, create tools, etc.) instead of fighting against them .Today we think killing the natives was not only a cruel act but also a disadvantage for the Spanish themselves. They could have learned a lot of their culture and skills and teach them how to farm the land to provide food for the Spanish and the natives. If they wouldn’t have fought against them and been friendly instead the natives probably would have started to cooperate.

Yours sincerelyDona Maria Isabella Perez
