In South Africa, through Sports Skills for Life Skills, we fund scholarships for 10 students at The University of the Western Cape, training to be engineers and accountants.
In Uganda, we are helping 11 students train to be nurses, builders and teachers with Australian NGO One Village.
In Nepal, Australian NGO Centre for Learning has built a tertiary college extension with our support, which opened in Aug 2015. 540 students attend the
College
In Pakistan, we have sponsored students at Imran Khan’s Namal College and now 12 students at The Citizen’s Foundation.
In India, we are educating over 2,280 students in five provinces through partnerships with local institutions PreranaNurture Merit, the Vikash Educational Trust, the AID Industrial Training Centre, Yuva Parivartan and SPRJ Kanyashala, an institution that provides free education for young women.
In Sri Lanka, we are providing support to 260 students taking degrees in medicine, engineering and business management, in partnership with local NGO’s Candle Aid and Foundation of Goodness.
Afghanistan
In Afghanistan, we are funding the medical degrees of three young women through US NGO Green Village Schools.
In Jamaica, we are sponsoring 5 youngwomen attending the Edna Manley College.
Kenya
In Kenya, we will be assisting 26 young Maasai women to undertake tertiary studies over 3 years.
Tanzania
In Tanzania, we are supporting Australian NGO So They Can’s project to develop
Mamire Teachers Training College’s practical learning scheme for 55 trainees and 22 post
graduate students p.a.

• Founded in 2009 by Cassandra Treadwell and Keri Chittenden in response to an immediate need for education facing the displaced community of Nakuru, Kenya.
• So-They-Can work with communit ies in Africa in need; empowering people to become self -suff icient and meet their own needs via education and community and economic development.
• So-They-Can join the phi lanthropic and business worlds to work towards sustainable poverty al leviat ion .
• So-They-Can connect people in the developed world with communit ies in need; so that we can both improve the way we l ive .
Current projects:• educate 960 chi ldren at Aberdare Ranges Primary School in Nakuru, Kenya• provide a nurturing home for 120 orphaned and vulnerable chi ldren at the Mit i Mingi
Vil lage• educate and provide loans to women facing extreme poverty through our Micro
Finance Business School• support a community medical centre that services the wider Nakuru community of
20,000• operate a Teachers’ Training Col lege in a remote rural part of Tanzania• have formed an educational col laborative with 4 schools in Tanzania providing access
to better education for over 1,900 chi ldren• work together with local communit ies to establ ish numerous social businesses to
create jobs and generate funds
