REPASO:
• To make nouns plural:• You usually add –s to words ending in a vowel.
• Por ejemplo: • Manzana Manzanas • Taco Tacos• Just add an –s!
• You add –es to words ending in a consonant. • Por ejemplo:
• Cereal cereales Singular nouns that end in z change the z to c in plural.
Por ejemplo: El lapiz Los lapices La nariz Las narices
ME GUSTAN Y ENCANTAN
We use me gusta(I like) and me encanta(I love) to talk about a singular noun.
Por ejemplo: Me gusta el té pero me encanta el té helado.
Use me gustan and me encantan to talk about plural nouns.
Por ejemplo: Me encantan las fresas pero no me gustan
mucho los plátanos.
TE GUSTAN Y TE ENCANTAN
Te gustan You like (plural)
Por ejemplo: Te gustan los sandwiches.
Te encantan You love (plural)
Por ejemplo: Te encantan los chocolates.
When you use me gusta(n) and me encanta(n) to talk about a noun, include el, la, los, or las.
Por ejemplo: Singular:
Me encanta el jugo de naranja pero no me gusta la leche.
Plural: ¿Qué te gustan mas, las hamburguesas o los perritos
calientes?
¡NO ME GUSTA!
To say you don’t like something, just add a “no” in front of “me gusta/gustan” Por ejemplo:
No me gusta la pizza. No me gustan las ensaladas.
Instead of saying no me encanta, you would say “no me gusta/gustan nada”, which means “I don’t like it/them at all” Por ejemplo:
No me gusta nada el queso. No me gustan nada los sándwiches.
