Mom and dad do, too. There are times when I look at mom - on incredibly strong pain medication, sleeping the day away, unable to carry a conversation - and wonder, what does the end look like? Is this it? How long will she - how long must she - continue to live in pain?The side effects of treatment are awful. That the complications from the procedures are life-threatening, and unbearable. That the treatments she receives will never cure her of this illness. That she endures this torture to prolong her time with me, with dad, with Owen (grandson).May 7, 2015 by suejeanAfter struggling with Stage Four Gallbladder Cancer for almost two years, Mamasook is finally at peace. She led a rich and inspir-ing life. She handled her illness bravely, and with dignity. A few weeks ago she said, Ill come visit you as often as I like. I know that she will keep her promise.I love you, Mom.
