Standard schemes incorporate maintenance lockout with pre-lockout alarm and user-selectable interlocks for an external synchronism check/dead bus charge/dead line charge relay and a ‘spring charged’ or equivalent contact on the circuit breaker. User selectable software logic functions allow the schemes to be configured to meet the requirements of most distribution and transmission systems. A feature of KVTR relays is that the operating logic is designed as a ladder diagram, enabling the provision in some cases, of a dedicated application program to suit customers' specific requirements.

KVTR relays are available for single ormulti-shot, three-pole auto-reclosing ofa circuit breaker on distribution ortransmission systems.
