KUER 90.1 delivers NPR; local, national and international news; and entertainment programing to a diverse audience in a noncommercial, educational environment.During the weekday commute, KUER carries trusted national and international news from Morning Edition and All Things Considered—while our local news staff of radio and web journalists cover local city and state issues with the same award-winning, thoughtful perspective. In addition, KUER’s premier local program, RadioWest, highlights the best in arts, culture, and politics. KUER can be heard from St. George, Utah to Twin Falls, Idaho through our network of 35 translators and transmitters. All of KUER’s content is streamed at KUER.org and KUER’s mobile app.

KUER’S UNDERWRITING GUIDELINES:As a public radio station, KUER must follow FCC (Federal Communications Commission) guidelines regarding copy and content, which protects KUER’s distinctive, non-commercial, uncluttered broadcast environment.
To help maintain the overall noncommercial sound of a funding message, copy should be written with the intention to identify, but not promote the funder.
KUER’S UNDERWRITING MESSAGES MAY INCLUDE:• Acknowledgement of your business and a description of location and/or services in value-neutral language
• Contact information, such as address, phone number, or website
• Spots are 15-seconds in length, pre-recorded, and voiced by a KUER talent
• Message must begin with the preamble of “Support for KUER comes from…”
• A maximum list of four products or services per message
THE FOLLOWING IS NOT ALLOWED: • Calls to action (visit, buy now, call, etc.)
• References to price or value (free, $10, on sale, etc.)
• Superlatives or comparative language (guaranteed, best, greatest, most reliable, etc.)
• Qualitative language (Pulitzer Prize Winner, family-owned, certified, etc.)
• Inducements to buy, rent, sell, or lease
• Personal statements (you, your, ours, we, etc.)
• Language advocating political, religious, or social causes
• Reference to third-party sponsors
• Marketing taglines or slogans that do not meet official guidelines
